About RME_SFC
Retired Army Sergeant First Class (hence the RME_SFC). 22 years, multiple deployments as a Combat Medic/Nurse.
Things I support and believe in:
I am a Christian, but I can't say that I am a "good" one. I believe that religious freedom, to choose who and how you want to worship or even if you want to worship is a choice between you and God.
It is my firm belief and point of view that women have (or should have) control over their own bodies. My lack of a uterus, while it doesn't absolutely negate my opinion, certainly should move my opinion to the "consult after all women have chimed in" column.
I believe that the Bill of Rights and Constitution merely enumerate the rights that are "natural to all men," and that the Bill of Rights, limits the Federal Government, and not "The People."
I believe that Equality for All should be the penultimate goal.
I hate the idea of having Affirmative Action, and Hate Crimes and so many other things... To be more accurate, I hate the fact that we live in society and world where these programs are needed; that discrimination and bigotry are still so common; that these programs have to be used to "level the playing field." More than even that, I hate the fact that these programs are not as nearly effective as they should be, because, IMO, bigotry is actively passed from generation to generation.
I believe that American Middle Class is truly the backbone of this Country, that the American Worker is not a "lazy" or "inefficient" piece of chattel...but all too often, they are treated that way.
I believe that Social Security should be strengthened, and rather than options on how to cut, reduce, or otherwise screw individuals out of their money; strong guarantees should be put in place.
I won't pretend to be informed about all things Geo-political. I won't pretend to have answers to complex problems, or even pretend that I truly understand the problem.
Anything else that you'd like to know, please just ask.
