It looks like that "pony" has become a hell of a fast horse that has a shit ton of momentum.

Dan Diamond - "Obama endorses Medicare for all."
Bernie Sanders - "Thank you President Obama for supporting Medicare for All. His support takes us another step toward ensuring that no one in the richest country in the history of the world has to forego health care because they cannot afford it."

Jimmy Kimmel owns conservatives

This is hilarious but it also shows how stupid some people are. Then again, conservatives aren't exactly known for being stalwarts in education. The scary thing? These people vote.

WATCH: People Interviewed Explain Why Affordable Care Act Is Better Than Obamacare

You’ve seen the tweets and Facebook comments from conservatives who prefer the Affordable Care Act Over Obamacare — which are totally the same thing. What conservatives really want is for President Obama’s name to not be attached to his signature legislation. Trump is discussing ‘Insurance for everyone’ which sounds a lot like Single Payer, something we might have had except that conservatives kept yelling for the gubbermint to keep their socialist hands off their Medicare. Whatever. So, we ended up with a watered down version of health care.

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel again used his ‘Man on the street’ segment to interview (mock) those who do not know there is no difference between Obamacare and the ACA. It’s a straight-up partisan issue with supporters of the President who preferred Obamacare and Trump fans who preferred the Affordable Care Act.

Kimmel wanted to see if people had learned anything since the time he did a similar segment three years ago.

“We decided to ask this question again to see if Americans had learned everything over the last three years,” Kimmel said. And unfortunately, nothing has changed.

Kavanaugh Committed Perjury

Get this jackass the hell OUT! He is a fraud and a liar.

'Kavanaugh Committed Perjury': New Documents Appear to Show Trump Supreme Court Pick Lied Under Oath Multiple Times
"Maybe there's a reason Senate Republicans tried to keep Kavanaugh's emails secret?"

Snipet-- "How much perjury is too much perjury from a Supreme Court nominee?"

That was how one commentator responded to a flurry of new documents and emails released on Thursday by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) that appear to show President Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath during hearings for his nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 2004 and 2006.

In 2004—after a Senate sergeant-at-arms report found that Republican staffer Manuel Miranda had stolen confidential communications and documents from Democratic senators—Kavanaugh told the Senate that he never received "documents that appeared...to have been drafted or prepared by Democratic staff members."

But new emails made public by Leahy on Thursday appear to show that Kavanaugh "got 8 pages of material taken verbatim from [the Vermont senator's] files, obviously written by Dem staff, labeled 'not [for] distribution." The stolen material detailed Democrats' efforts to oppose President George W. Bush's judicial nominees.

Amazon is hurting LOTS of people

And by people I mean their employees.

Low Wages And No Stability: How Amazon’s Use of Perma-Temps Is Hurting Workers

snippet.... "Every day at 4:30 a.m., Dwayne Wilson, 25, wakes up to find out whether he’s going to be needed as a forklift driver at the warehouse he works at in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Wilmington. Sometimes he gets a call telling him not to come in. Sometimes he goes in to find out that he’s not needed that day. On average, he works just three eight-hour days per week, at $15 per hour.

“Even if I work every day and I have an amazing work ethic,” Wilson says, “I still could be sent home after waiting for so long because they fill the spot.”

The products that Wilson moves are destined for Amazon customers, but Wilson doesn’t work directly for the e-commerce giant. He works for California Cartage, a logistics company that has a contract to unpack shipping containers full of Amazon goods. Wilson says that the majority of the cargo moving through his warehouse is headed straight to Amazon fulfillment facilities.

The national unemployment rate hit 3.8 percent in May, the lowest level since 2000, and companies across the country are complaining about the difficulty of finding workers. Yet Amazon has been able to staff its warehouses with workers who frequently earn little more than the local minimum wage. Many of them are contingent workers like Wilson, who get none of the stability and benefits that often come with working for one of the country’s largest companies."

Things in this country MUST change. Walmart, Amazon, et al....millions of people in this country afford the basics, nearly 50% can't and corporations like those aforementioned are a very big part of the problem. Wages haven't just remained stagnant, they've fallen due to the high cost of health insurance, food & housing.

It's time to end corporate welfare and give unions the strength they need once again!

The times are changing -- Republicans want single payer

Albeit by a slim majority.
That being said, this is the first time a majority of Republicans now want single payer health care in the United States. I think it may be safe to say that if you oppose single payer at this point, you probably are on the wrong side of history. If you look at where the opposition is now coming from, it's based in the health care and big pharma lobby, along with much of the Republican establishment who gets huge amount of cash from such entities. While they may be bought, it seems Republican voters are waking up to reality at least on this issue.

Turns Out People Really Like the Idea of Medicare For All and Free College Tuition

Reuters published a feature today on the growing influence of progressives in the Democratic Party, accompanied by a round of extensive polling on three of the most visible planks of the wing’s platform: abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, free college tuition, and Medicare for All. It turns out that nearly everyone really likes the idea of single payer!

According to Reuters’ polling, 85 percent of Democrats support Medicare for All, along with 52 percent of Republicans. In all, 70 percent of the nearly three thousand people Reuters polled indicated their support for Medicare for All, while 21 percent opposed it and 9 percent said they don’t know.

In polling free college tuition, Reuters noted it would be funded by taxing speculative trading, but said it would be “for those who meet income levels”; the College for All Act of 2017, introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and co-sponsored by seven other Senate Democrats, eliminates tuition at four-year universities for families making under $125,000 a year and would eliminate it altogether at two-year public colleges.

The GOP & "Socialism"

The GOP is pulling out all the stops with "socialism!"

They yelled it at Obama for 8 years.
They've yelled it at us Democrats for decades.
They've called every social program under the sun "socialism!"

Guess what? It has never worked. The only ones buying this are those who believe the Red Army is outside their door and would never vote for any of our candidates to begin with.

Take it away AOC.....drag the shit out of the Texas GOP!

Ron DeSantis helps run a Tea Party Facebook group that promotes racism

You can't make this shit up!

REVEALED: Ron DeSantis helps run a Tea Party Facebook group that promotes racism and ‘deep state’ conspiracies

Florida GOP gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis is an administrator of a Facebook group that promotes racist and “deep state” conspiracy theories.

American Ledger — a corruption watchdog news site — reported Wednesday that DeSantis is one of 52 administrators and moderators for the “Tea Party” Facebook group that is also co-run by failed Arizona Senate candidate Kelli Ward.

The GOP candidate’s participation in the large administrator pool was first revealed on Tuesday by Media Matters extremism researcher Natalie Martinez, who posted screenshots of a string of DeSantis campaign posts in the group. She later learned that another administrator named the candidate as one of the group’s admins.

The “Tea Party” group has nearly 95,000 members, the Ledger reported. In the past, group members have posted about the “ghetto scum” that is Black Lives Matter and made fun of the Parkland massacre survivors.

Oklahoma legislators who opposed teacher pay bill are voted out

Nice job Oklahoma!!!!

Oklahoma legislators who opposed teacher pay bill are voted out

Six Oklahoma House representatives who voted against the state's teacher pay bill lost their primary runoff elections on Tuesday night.

"Instead of making our case at the steps of the Capitol, we have the opportunity to make our voices heard at the ballot box," Oklahoma Education Association President Alicia Priest said on April 12, after teachers in the state went on strike for nine days.

The teachers and their supporters appear to have followed through.

Of the 19 legislators who voted against the teacher pay bill in the state House, 15 now won't be returning to Oklahoma City next year: Eight lost their primaries, four are not running for office and three are leaving because of term limits.
