Hi all of Writing Group. Any other writers here, active or lurking ?

Until a few years ago, I hemmed and hawed on non-fiction writing. I had some ideas for popular science writing, but I wasn't able to get any traction.

2 years ago, a new acquaintance, unbeknownst to me, was involved in Hollywood circles. One day, I casually mentioned my idea for a screenplay and behold, he asked me to send it. (The fact is the story remains highly uneven.). I got a bit of high level feedback and commenced a lot of brainstorming and creative procrastinating for a big story of social justice in an slightly alternate America.

Commentaries and suggestions on any aspect of this are welcome: social justice, characters, antagonists, screenplay design, as well as any needs you the lurker may have.

My characters have not finalized the antagonists. I mainly like success, so I have been indulging in the glories of protagonists.

To play or not to play hardball

We all have read of the fundamental issues we face: Covid deaths and crippling effects, jobs, climate change, national security, slow moving genocide by the voting people of the ReThug death cult to anyone (even themselves).

Nancy Pelosi is the current leader of Democratic hardball at the national level, as far as I know. McConnell's hardball has been more successful than the Democrats.

I believe in the next "few" days that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris will lay out the practical aspects of the new agenda.

Some of us have experienced the worst of some of the above or have been in frequent close contact with the Trumpers. Your experience is what I hope to learn from.

I ask this: To what degree should the legislators at any level play hardball ?

I look forward to the comments. (my post edited for clarity)

To: the White House Correspondents Association

1. Don't ask ordinary questions to Orange. It only encourages him.

2. Ask Pence to bring out scientists.

3. Ask Trump to show the tax returns.

4. Show to Trump on your phones his stupid videos. You must confront.

5. Ask Dr Fauci if he thinks 25th Amendment is reasonable in light of bleach and Lysol comments.

---------

Don't feed Trump and Pence hot air or open ended questions. Leave them with no questions, except tangible demands.

Facebook interactive COVID-19 Map

What I find interesting is that some rural counties of Wisconsin show higher rates per capita than the higher density areas of Milwaukee and Dane (Madison, WI) counties.

Voting today in Wisconsin

People, be prepared.

1. Social distancing collapsed to some degree at my voting place inside.

2. Election officials said "Windows cant be opened", whatever that means. My voting place had no significant ventilation and multiple wards in A SINGLE ROOM (library at an elementary school.)

3. BRING A MASK, gloves and a pen if you value your life etc.

The races:

4. In Wisconsin, the state wide races are Presidential (the whole range of candidates is there) and Supreme Court race.

ADDED: Vote for JILL for Supreme Court.

5. Additional races for courts and school board in Madison.

6. I saw hope that a great many people have voted and returned absentee ballots.

7. I arrived 40 minutes before the doors opened and had to walk around the school to find the door. I was first in line. About 18 people in line when doors opened. I escorted a nurse to the front (I presume she was a nurse). She was wearing blue garb and Crocs. A lot of real medical people like their Crocs.

Microparticles in the air : open your windows.

https://boingboing.net/2020/04/03/special-camera-shows-cloud-of.html

This 6 minute video is from NHK (Japan National Broadcasting) with interviews at Toho University and Kyoto Institute of Technology.

"Opening windows ... is believed to be effective" in dispersal of micro-droplets.

"Open windows at least once per hour."

Theoretically, Covid 19 can be on these microparticles.

Early April Primaries: AK, HI, WY, VI and WI

Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, the Virgin Islands and Wisconsin

[link:https://www.uspresidentialelectionnews.com/2020-presidential-primary-schedule-calendar/|

April 2020
Sat, Apr 4 Alaska Democratic primary 14 Closed
Sat, Apr 4 Hawaii Democratic primary 22 Closed
Sat, Apr 4 Wyoming Democratic caucus 14 Closed
Sat, Apr 4 Virgin Islands Republican convention 9 Closed
Tue, Apr 7 Wisconsin primary 77 52 Open

As for Wisconsin, there are few in my local headlines on the election. Wisconsin is endeavoring to allow more registration time and encouraging absentee voting.

CANDIDATE DELEGATES
Joe Biden 1168
Bernie Sanders 884
Elizabeth Warren 67
Michael Bloomberg 50
Pete Buttigieg 26
Amy Klobuchar 7
Tulsi Gabbard 2

1,991 needed to win

Allow me to assume that the delegates won by Warren, Bloomberg, Buttigieg , Klobuchar and Gabbard are 50-50 split between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. That would be 76 each. Over 1200 for Joe Biden is very likely.

Now back to politicking. I don't have a TV so I see none of the advertisements there. Hopefully, somebody can talk on that.

But regarding the lack of headlines of campaign events or announcements in or towards Wisconsin, I hope the powers that be don't gloss over us.... again.

Mac Security update 10.13.6 May

Hello all,

I updated Mac OS 10.13.6.

The computer rebooted about 4-5 times, taking 20 minutes in the process.

I did the update via the App Store.

I read that doing a direct download via the Apple Security Update pages may be better.

Back up your data -- PLEASE.

Trump buying facebook ads and the likely other shoe drops

Sorry if this may be old news. I just found a Facebook ad from DJT.

I blocked it fast. It seemed a popularity prop for the coming shoe drops.

If (when) one of the investigations does something tangible toward Trump, we can expect every kind of trolling and division.

This FB ad campaign is the first wave.
