https://m.youtube.com/shorts/nk_WaGy1aY4Any Of You Ever Get The "American Community Survey" Through The U.S. Census Bureau?
I got one today, and I hope it was legit. The notice I got in the mail said that my husband and I were "randomly selected" to participate in this survey. The notice said that our response was required by law. The purpose of the survey was apparently to "improve roads and reduce traffic, build schools, plan for the health care needs of the elderly. As I took the survey, I documented each question. I noticed there were a lot of questions about "other people" living in our house (We are both retired and are the only ones living here). They seemed to repeat/ reword the same questions. A little confusing. The questions seemed like they wanted to know if we are immigrants (we aren't) or possibly have immigrants living with us (we don't). The questions about jobs were repeated, even though one of the first questions was answered "retired". They wanted to know if we were Mexican/Latino, etc. I answered that we were not, and the next question asked what specific ancestry/ethnicity were were AFTER I answered their question. Color me suspicious.
Katy Turd Strikes Again
She was just on talking about the Democrats "problem" with patriotism. (paraphrasing) She said something about how they (Democrats) don't see themselves as patriotic, and gave examples like wearing flag apparel, etc. Barbara Boxer mentioned after that bullshit, and said non party owns the flag or patriotism, which Turd implied. There was a man there too, who just wrote an article (for The Atlantic I think). I don't remember his comments. As K.T. introduced him, she admitted she botched her intro. I think the author of the article had a tactful response to Ms. Turd.
Just my observation. If I have mischaracterized anyone in the segment, please correct me.
Snakey Mikey Seems Awfully Jumpy & Uptight
He is voting for the discharge petition but yet he's bitching about it in this press conference. He's talking really fast and contradicting his own vote in his little speech.
Heard In A Redneck Bar In Northern Wisconsin
Some guy was bitching about immigration & "illegals". Another guy, a big guy with a beard & hunting cap said "You don't know what you're talking about. We're all immigrants. The only ones who aren't are Native Americans. They were here first." The other guy shut up & went silent.
Edited to add that it was at my husband's pool (billiards) night.
True story.... last night at a pool hall/bar.
I Staryed Watching "The Sound Of Freedom".
Oh my God. It's about human 'trafficking .
The movie isn't over yet but I wonder if it was like this with Epstein and co?
Any Of You Use 1441 (A News Outlet)?
I never have, but I don't want to subscribe to something if it's faux "news" lite, etc.
Why Is Lawrence O'Donnell Not On Tonight
& can anyone tell me about the host tonight. Thanks in advance. I did read that he was in a car accident but I don't know if that's true or not.
A Nice Story About NFL Players In The 60's and 70's In Green Bay... Gives Me Hope
Whether or not you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, this is a story that gives me some hope, and might give you some hope. African American football players experienced racism and discrimination throughout their careers, in the NFL and beyond. A book by David Maraniss (When Pride Still Mattered) talks about many stories of the players and coaches and their experiences with racism and discrimination in almost 100% white Green Bay during the 60's. I've read the book, and a couple of examples come to mine. One is that Lombardi was a dark-skinned Italian American experienced discrimination and was sometimes overlooked for coaching positions early in his career. Lombardi had a zero tolerance policy for prejudice. He made it clear to his team that anyone who spoke against a player's race or sexual orientation would face immediate removal from the team.

"Filmmakers Hope To Get Documentary Made About Historic Packers Bar"
This is a story of a cocktail lounge, "My Brother's Place," that welcomed black Packers during the late 60's and 70's.
As a side note, I shared frog legs with Deve Robinson a little over a month ago. He is such a kind and fun guy to be around.
