Josh Hawley called for burying the "old party" and while I agree with the idea of the end of the GOP, meathead Josh and I could not be further apart when it comes to the reasoning.
Josh in his infinite wisdom doesn't see a problem with the vile hatred and extremism of today's GOP, he thinks the party needs to double down and that any semblance of the party that was formed under Lincoln and that elected Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower should be buried.
I say the GOP in its present form needs to be put to rest and conservatives in this country need to embrace democracy and put their country above their worship for demagogues like Trump, DeSantis, and Hawley!

It would appear that the freaking circus that is the MSM has been served a big large helping of humble pie as their prognostications of gloom and doom for the Democrats failed to materialize.
While we have a ways to go to make certain we hold the Senate (quite likely at this point) and we hope for a miracle to hold the House (not so likely), the predictions of a massive Red Wave were totally unfounded. The people refused to be bullied into submission and showed up when America needed them most.
Meanwhile, in Mar-A-Largo a large storm showed up to rain on Dayglow's misguided victory celebration and he was humiliated to the point they ushered out the media shortly after midnight to allow tRump to slither away to his glorified condo to hide for the night.
Add in the likely defeat of gun-loving air head Boebert in Colorado, Fetterman's victory in PA, Lake's likely defeat in AZ, and LePage's butt-kicking in Maine and we have what is a historic mid-term election upset.

This no holds barred interpretation of the First Amendment is insanity. There are limits to Free Speech and camping out by voter lock boxes to intimidate voters is not what James Madison had in mind when he drafted the first amendment.
