Global Criminal Networks Graph - an interactive website

Hi everyone,

I was just browsing online resources for crime data and came upon this amazing new project.

There is a new online graph (or a map you could call it, I suppose) being launched by the Vortex Foundation, a research NGO in Colombia and it sounds fascinating.

We all know global and transnational crime is quite complex structure. It is not about only finding the mastermind or the middlemen, it is about uncovering whole systems of corruption and interactions.

What better way to uncover these, but through global graph? Through years of research with the help of prosecutors, judges, reporters, journalists, scholars etc., a map is currently being worked on, as a Kickstarter project.

Quite fascinating and can't wait for it to be completed. It will allow the public to chip in and help out as well.

By the way, did you know that transnational crime involves human trafficking and the illegal trade of goods such as organs, wildlife, minerals and drugs? Learnt something new every day!
