dickthegrouch's JournalWhy is the Standard Deduction the same for the whole country?
Only income above $15,750 ($17,750 for seniors) is taxed. But if your rent in San Francisco is 36000/year (and thats VERY low for SF) its ridiculous to be paying taxes on such a low salary.
Make the average (or median, Im not picky) annual rent and groceries for the region the standard deduction.
People should be able to afford their lives.
Someone was paid the bounty
Follow the money.
Whoever cashed the bounty check is by definition the first person to throw the key away for.
Time to give us all new identifiers
At the personal expense of anyone who knew, or should have known, and said nothing.
And I fully understand how hard that will be, and how long it will take to plan as a flawless operation.
However, those plans should have been on the books for decades now, ever since the "I LOVE YOU" virus was unleashed by the asshole, Mitnick.
I think Dems would have a great platform if

We'd list all the LAWS that *rump and allies have broken;
All the LAWS that they say they want to continue to break;
And then list out how we are going to change the LAW to make that harder to do, and to extract personal responsibility for the transgressions, rather than allowing lawless criminals to hide behind institutions.
We need to list out all the ways in which those institutions clearly need to be hardened, and put integrity back into the entire system, a DEM Project 2028, if you will.
Just advocating cheating like they do, is never going to be enough to satisfy people who ardently WANT the rules (LAWS) to be adhered to. Get us the ability to fix it all, AND THEN FIX IT. Takes planning, and a resolve to follow through, just like with Project 2025.

And why don't Dems just reflect this right back?
Rubbish, it's because the rethugs won't agree to stop their illegal usurpation of our constitutional guarantees of due process; security within our bodies, papers and effects; and voting among others.
Their corruptly manipulated sound bites are never challenged. Why not?
Fairness for whom?
"Restoring fairness" is a rather nebulous concept.
I'm sure the Oligarchs feel their fairness is threatened by the "unwashed masses".
The fairness for all the folks without sufficiently provable documentation are the ones that deserve the larger degree of fairness.
What AI slop wrote the language of the amendment?
