Oct 23 Creation Day!

It was on this date in 4004 BC(E) that Earth, heavens, weather were created, according to Bishop Usher. This was 6000 years ago, and we should all be grateful for it.

It was creation that made possible the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, sin, sex, and assorted other things. Without creation we would not have VD, V.D.Vance, global warming, hurricanes, washing machines, etc. etc.

Usher's calculations from the Hebrew Bible and inspiration from Holy Spirits was seemingly verified by an unnamed serpent--but there is doubt since he only spoke Aramaic as a second language.

Do orthodox Muslim beliefs ratify Bishop Usher? This is left as an exercise for the reader. Similarly for origin narratives in Hindi, native Americans' Ursala Major (who understood pre-Aramaic)

Usher is clear that it happened at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Oct 23, but he could not say what day of the week, since days&weeks had not been created on Day1 (Later scholars have determined it was a Tuesday.)

3 PM is also problematic; Usher was in England and used Greenwich Mean Time; it would have been 4 hours earlier in the Eden Tigris-Euphrates valley, assuming uninhabited Earth was spinning as now and tidal and centrifugal forces had been created earlier on.

Without the Bishop's keen understanding of the Bible {cf. KingJames version or DouyRheims), we surely would not have Evolution taught in schools and concepts of science, democracy, fraternity, equality, liberty might abound in the land.

Happy Creation Day, and evening of the first day.
