its time for a large estate tax
thats one way to go after the ultra wealthy.
you want to make billions and billions of dollars fine. Just know that you cant pass it to your heirs.
I propose that any estate over 1B be taxed at 90%. no deductions or estate tax avoidance. that will still leave any heirs 100m .
also the inheritance taxes on lesser amount should be changed. right now if you pass away and leave stock to your kids they their cost basis is the price on teh day you die. any difference between what you paid for the stock and the current value becomes tax free.
change it so when you pass away any stock over 10m gets hit with capital gains taxes as if you sold it on your death day.
