Duh, should be the name of her book. MAGAT’s take a word that has a special meaning and application by the ones who created it, and throw it around in every inappropriate way possible. The idea of the media is to magnify it so that it becomes a turn-off.
The result is a combination of confusion from those who would really like to know, and turn-off/ ignore when those people who were brave enough to ask if they can say what it means, realize the MAGAT’s are clueless asses
IMHO, the current use of woke” is a word that describes the state of mind needed to survive
among people who won’t ever try to understand. If they are made to see how ignorant they are, it would be additional justification for shooting you.
Choice Can Make a Big Difference
I was a Social Worker at an orphanage that was turned into a Residential Treatment facility. The change was due to the changes taking place in society in re: a change in need. Children were not simply given up, they were: found alone in filthy conditions, at risk in juvenile detention centers, rescued from living in cages. I don’t know whether having access to counseling for the option of adoption or abortion would have been helpful for the parents or not because those resources didn’t exist at that time.
I can say that our program provided the structure, stability and love that enabled many of these youth to find their way in society with productive meaningful lives.
I also know that programs like ours were not sustainable financially. The staff to student ratio was 4:1.
The part that impresses me most is the growth that took place in children’s lives
was both measurable—most grew 6-12 inches in their first year with us, and immeasurable (the sense of gratitude we felt for having been a part of this. The success of our program was allowing the children to have a say in their outcome.
They needed to be able to invest in their lives. It made all the difference for them.

Just Cause
There really are no more surprises. TFG has given all the evidence anyone could need through verbal confessions to the world. I really don’t understand what else is needed to haul him in. I think this is what is so unsettling to us—“we the people”— who care about our Democracy.
Some have said it’s a matter of timing.
It also sounds like there is some need
to get to the bottom of ALL of it. Is that even possible. Is that even necessary?
At some point it feels like it gets worse each passing day because without justice, it continues.
And now TFG is going again after Hunter Biden. How much can he take before justice functions the way it is supposed to?

All Bibles are being recalled and reissued after an inventory.
This includes: heirlooms, antiques, collections, personal…every shape, size
and versión.
Bibles should be brought in person to your voting precinct to make things easier. Voting precincts that have been closed must be re-opened and remain that way. There shall be one voting precinct for every group of 200 persons. Many will new sites will be located, and again, are to remain open.
Complete versions of the Orthodox Bible, including the Old Testament, Psalms and New Testament only.
Personal Bibles will be re-issued to owners based on the following:
1. Ability to understand mature content.
2. Ability to apply content to yourself before applying it to anyone else.
3. Ability to think pluralistically
4. Evidence of having integrated the heart of the Gospel so it is reflected in everything you do.
5. An answer from your own experience to Jesus’ question , “who do you say that I am?” that matches his life and ministry
6. For Bible teachers, a record of the number of times you responded, “I don’t know.”
7. Your understanding of basic tenants: “all people”, “the Greatest Commandment,” “neighbor,” the Ten Commandments”, “The Beatitudes”, Jesus Death and Resurrection.
If unable to respond compassionately to those questions your Bible will be reissued to someone else.

Yelling is Telling
“Rage is an expression of powerlessness.” I don’t know where I heard this, but it makes sense to me.
Coming from a person in power, it’s a
signal to the rest of the world that he has none. He yells because he thinks no one is listening, when In fact, those who have been engaged have heard enough.
Late to the conversation
I hear you. Your thoughts are shared by
a multitude of people—good people—
who do all we can besides exercise our one vote, which we also have to fight for.
One thing continues to baffle me, and I will continue to lift it up in the hope that someday it is dealt with. That is, how on God’s green earth absolutely anyone, any nut job, can be allowed to to become President of the United States of America; the highest office in the land.
Almost every other professional position has qualifications: related work history, certifications, state exams, drug testing, interviews, references (professional and character) for some, a battery of Psychological tests, background checks, and for most government officials this includes known contact with foreign nationals. And yet, there are relatively few qualifications to become President of the USA.
We know our democracy cannot exist on the merits of respectable people with a conscience and good ethics and we don’t understand why we don’t safeguard it.
Knowing we risk our democracy every election year makes me feel more helpless than being at the mercy of one man with the power. In our country it can happen every four years.
