Paul Mandelson resigns/retires from House of Lords

Source: Sky News, UK

per Sky News. This results from the Epstein files.

Yesterday Parliament pilloried Mandelson, and Sky News showed a photo of Mandelson in his underwear with a female, from the files, all day long. So today Mandelson is all but out of politics. The Brits are concerned about trust in its democratic institutions as well as national security. Gordon Brown had requested an investigation into Mandelson months ago, so he's upset it took so long. There are calls to hold Mandelson accountable.

Meanwhile, fascist republican pedophiles still hold the reins of power in the US. Why is there no accountability for the rich in the US of A?? Seriously. WTF (which has becomes our country's motto under Trump)!!!

Edit: The UK media asked Mandelson why he had any association with Epstein to begin with considering he was in prison at the time. Mandelson could only say he regretted having met Epstein.

Media is now asking why Keir Starmer, PM, sent Mandelson to the US at all given his questionable past.

No link yet.

UK Lord Mandelson raked over the coals

…nearly literally. Every parliamentary member wants Peter Mandelson and Andrew to testify in the US.

There was a photo in the files of Mandelson in his underwear with a woman. The location of the photo was ID’d as belonging to Epstein. The photo of Andrew over a young woman on the floor is determined to be Epstein’s NYC mansion.

Mandelson shared market sensitive info with Epstein as well.

Everyone in Parliament is professing the same level of disgust. I wish the fascist Right in the US would be similarly fed up. Where is the outrage, MAGA Mike?

Can someone clarify Dem #s in the House?

With state and fed special elections I'm confused. How close will dems come to having a House majority before Nov elections if all special elections go their way?

Can we anticipate fascist republican House resignations post-TX State Senate blowout?

My Scottish hospital waiting room experience

I was in a Scottish hospital two days ago, the day before Alex Pretti was murdered. The waiting room was near capacity. The TV was on, BBC, discussing NATO/Greenland. I could hear Trump's name being muttered in the din of patients. You can anticipate hearing that everywhere in Scotland these days.

I said to those waiting, in a friendly voice and with a smile, "Are you all bad mouthing my president? I'm about to sing the first verse of the Star Spangled Banner to ya'll." The room laughed, a bit nervously. I said, "It's okay. I think he's a complete ass. And if there's any American in here who disagrees, don't bother as I don't have the energy for you." The room relaxed, a bit curious about me. A patient in the next chair responded the way most Europeans do, politely and diplomatically, by complaining about their own govt leaders. He said there were parts of the UK that are dirty and need to be spiffed up (a safe comment in a room full of Brits likely of a different mindset). I said, "Yeah, your country is dealing with issues of cleanliness while the US is grappling with fascism. Be glad because it could be worse." He asked if I'd come over to the UK because of Trump. I said, "He was inaugurated about the 3rd week of January, and my family and I were out of the US by the end of February, so, yes."

The Scots then started talking about their own travails. I just listened.
My name was called, and I held up my fingers, said, "Peace," and followed the RN to the appointment.

I have been slamming the 🍊 pedophile every chance possible but as I feel is appropriate to the occasion/culture. I've found that most Scots are very aware of what is going on behind all the noise/propaganda, so it's like speaking to the choir. Nobody likes that 🍊 POS. Scots are the friendliest people you'd ever want to meet, and when a tragedy strikes beyond their borders, they feel it, too.

Is there anyone here connected to media?

I used to live in the Philippines and Okinawa, where I saw plenty of small private fishing boats off the coasts of these countries. I'd watch the crew haul in their nets to see what was caught...mostly crustacean odds/ends and seaweed.

Media, I'd like answers to these questions:

Question 1: Why doesn't our navy, with all its technology, know the difference between a drug cartel and a group of village fishermen trying to eek out a living?

Question 2: Why are we using expensive missiles and SEAL Team Six (or any SEAL team) to take out a village's outboard motorboat and its passengers?

Question 3: When Obama was president, he used SEAL Team Six to take out Osama Bin Laden. If we can't find a better use for these extensively/expensively trained elite forces, shouldn't they be disbanded so we can use the money to refinance the health organizations designed to help anyone in our country associated with PTSD from war time experiences? Trump had them dismantled.

VA Glenn Youngkin is a bastard

Gov. Youngkin has called "a state of emergency" to support hungry Virginians who are suffering from "Democrats Blocking Federal Funding for the Most Needy."

Governor.virginia.gov

Unfortunately, Governor, that will not do squat to help Winsome-Sears gain the VA governorship. But it will guarantee that you leave office as a disgrace to the state. Thank God for 1 term limits, you tool.

I just called Cong. Ben Cline's DC office (R-VA)

from Scotland. I spoke to a woman who typed away while I spoke.

I told her where I was currently located, that I'd listened to the Trump/Hegseth meeting at Quantico. Concern: Neither Hegseth nor Trump had mentioned my neighborhood as venues for invasion. Do I have a need to be concerned, or were Army Rangers going to start dropping from Blackhawks onto my flowerbeds to arrest my neighbors? Long pause. I thought she'd hung up.

Still online.

Further, does language from a US president declaring war against Americans concern Cong. Cline at all? Does he realize such a declaration is unconstitutional? In addition, does he understand how swamped our generals are in their day to day duties, how much responsibility they carry, that taking a trip half way around the world to listen to a President declare war on Americans to be the opposite of what our generals' mission is?

I said I rarely hear a peep out of Cline. Now would be the time to speak up, starting with getting a group of Republican colleagues together to tell Trump that the jig is up. Clearly, he's a sick, sick, crazy man. I said I wanted Cline to be part of that group. Stop the stonewalling. Get him out.

I said I was a democrat, that stateside I am now considered "the enemy," so I don't feel safe returning to my own country. It shouldn't matter one iota what party I belong to.

That was the gist of the conversation.

I recommend you to do something similar. Call the DC offices of your congressperson. Trump has declared war on Americans. Register your opinion now before we're passed the point of it mattering.

My husband shared a table with a Brit local

today in Norfolk.

The Brit asked my husband about our trip, how long, etc, and my husband said we'd self-deported from the US. We don't know when we'll go back.

That comment led to Trump.

The Brit had been an editor of the WSJ for over 30 years. He said 1) the WSJ doesn't have an algorithm favorable to Trump 2) Trump is in it up to his neck with Epstein so is in real trouble, particularly if he keeps antagonizing Murdock and 3) as Murdock has aged, he's become more impatient, has much less tolerance for stupidity, and is easier to anger. He's less predictable. So Rupert will not play with Trump over Trump's lawsuit.

This Brit also said, once Trump has lost Murdock, what's he got?

He also thought Americans were very ignorant to have voted for Trump since it was clear what they were voting for from the first term.
