it is not my primary means of income. From now one if you're wearing a cross, a conservative button on your clothes or look like you could be a republican I will refuse to serve you

(127,350 posts)is to take their money and overcharge them for your products/services. Nothing upsets a Republican more than seeing money leaving their wallets. If anybody complains you can call it the "liberal discount" and if they want it then they have to vote blue.

(7,790 posts)And wish like hell my marbles were still rattling consistently enough to put together websites with today's tools. Unfortunately, I seemed to have lost my ability to take in new tech info and run with it like I used to.
Man, if I did, tho... I'd be right there with you. No websites for Xtianists! And I think it may be time for many, many letters to the editor in papers and online at every media corp as possible - stating no more tax relief for churches. They got all political, they can pay the price for it.
As long as there was separation of church and state, and churches kept at the soul saving and charity work stuff I didn't gripe too much, although it sure does p'o' me seeing all these private trains, planes, and automobiles these "miracle workers" horde by ripping off the sheep.
Maybe the RWNJ's need to actually see, hear, and experience what religious discrimination actually feels like. I swear, the next time I hear one of these nutters going on and on about their religion (not hard to hear quite often here in KS), the very LEAST I'm going to do is shake my head and say, "I'm sorry. You might try getting a life."
I can't say all the things I'd REALLY like to say or do to them. Damn... I used to be so tolerant where this was concerned. I figure, believe as you want, as long as you don't harm me. Well, that horse has done left the barn. I think I'm going to get into many more religious conversations and try a little "missionary" work of my own on -them-!

(12,717 posts)I am a Pagan small businessperson. I make jewelry and other items. My general attitude is that I don't care what your beliefs are, as long as your money is green and your credit card clears. In fact, one of my best shows is at a local Catholic Church's Christmas bazaar.
No more.

(5,989 posts)a significant number of overtly religious and/or political businesses/contractors who have lost my business over the years - Hobby Lobby is an obvious one. Whataburger (that one was a bit hard), contractors whose trucks have biblical passages on them, etc.

(4,557 posts)With conservatives and Republicans has always been and still is legal.
Refusing to do business with Christians is still illegal, provided what they are buying is one of your standard off the shelf products/services.
