'Our cities are no longer safe': GOP mayors condemn Trump immigration enforcement

(Politico) A number of Republican mayors are condemning the Trump administration’s hardline immigration enforcement tactics in Minnesota, as they call on the president to pull back from Minneapolis and worry their cities might be next. “It’s roiling the country,” Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt told Politico. “We’re all sort of feeling the angst of our residents and the fear that our city will be next and that chaos is going to inevitably creep across the entire country.”

FBI's Search of George Election Center is "Dangerous," Experts Warn

(ProPublica) When the FBI executed a warrant on Wednesday to seize records from the 2020 presidential vote in Fulton County, Georgia, it marked both an extraordinary event in the history of American elections and a significant escalation in President Donald Trump’s breaking of democratic norms, several legal experts said. At a press conference, Fulton County Commission Chair Robb Pitts said that the ballots had been “safe” in the county’s custody and defended its handling of the election as fair and accurate. But now that the ballots had been seized, he said, the county “can no longer satisfy ... that those ballots are still secure.”

Pam Bondi Tries New Intimidation Tactic With Protester Arrest Photos

(New Republic) Attorney General Pam Bondi has started sharing the names and photographs of protesters arrested in Minneapolis—in violation of Department of Justice rules. Bondi took to X Wednesday to share the names and photographs of 16 protesters who had been arrested for allegedly assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal law enforcement agents. “We expect more arrests to come,” she warned. DOJ policy expressly prohibits releasing mug shots of defendants charged with federal crimes, unless releasing their photo would serve a “legitimate law enforcement function.”

Trump's Cyber Chief Uploaded Sensitive Files To ChatGPT

(Mediaite) President Donald Trump’s interim chief of cybersecurity uploaded sensitive documents to a public version of ChatGPT, setting off multiple security alerts and triggering an internal review at the Department of Homeland Security. ChatGPT was blocked for all DHS employees when Madhu Gottumukkala, the Acting Director for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, joined the agency in May of last year. That meant that Gottumukkala had to request special access to the artificial intelligence platform from CISA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer, which he did shortly after his arrival, Politico reported on Tuesday.

Just under 23 million people selected plans for 2026, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. That compares to just under 24.2 million people in roughly the same period last year.

I was a combat soldier in Iraq. Here's the one question everyone should be asking about ICE.

(Huff Post) As a combat soldier, I recognize a mission when I see one — not because it’s announced, but because it’s being carried out. In the span of weeks, ICE and Border Patrol operations in Minneapolis have resulted in the deaths of two Minnesotans. In over a year of combat in Iraq, my battalion of 500 soldiers did not kill a single person. That difference matters.
