Lawrence Tribe says that Trump will be indicted.

But the question is when?

Will it be after the election but before the new Congress is sworn in?

Or are there more ducks to get in the row? Trump has committed so many crimes, it is difficult to prosecute them all.

I believe he will be indicted. Just like any other citizen, he should have the right to a jury trial to defend himself from the charges. If there is no jury tampering, and they find him not guilty, then that is the way our system works.

But it has to be done and Merrick Garland is turning the vise tighter and tighter every day.

For what would the J6 Committee send a criminal referral to the DOJ?

Conspiracy?

Obstruction of an official government proceeding?

Sedition?

A referral would carry the weight of the Congress, with a bi-partisan consensus in the Committee.

How close are we to losing our democracy?

I feel like we may be closer now than the day of the insurrection, when there was an attempted overthrow of our government. They followed their strategy meticulously until Mike Pence decided to call in the National Guard to clear the place. Only then did Donald Trump come out of his HQs and tell the mob to go home in peace and how much he loved them.

Their last step, as soon as martial law was declared, was to bring the weapons across the river and to take over the House and Senate. No Democrat would have been permitted even close to the floor of the House or Senate.

In my opinion, we are still close to losing our democracy.

Trump's lawyer, Evan Corcoran...

In his last rally, Trump says he had small number of boxes at Mar-a-Lago. He said it was no crime.

It was nothing less than a confession. He must have known the Feds were talking to one of his lawyers, Evan Corcoran, and that Corcoran was not going to take the fall for Trump.

It has been reported that another Trump lawyer, Christina Bobb, was working with the Feds. She had made the mistake of putting her signature on a statement stating that there were no more classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

She has told the Feds that Evan Corcoran drew up the statement that she signed stating that there were no more classified documents. This has put both lawyers in legal jeopardy.

Unfortunately for Trump, they are two potential witnesses for obstruction of justice. Unless one of them agrees to take the fall, Donald Trump is the target of an obstruction charge, with two witnesses against him.

That is enough for an indictment.

Evan Corcoran is the star witness.

What will be the reaction if Trump is indicted ??

A lot of people will be pissed off but how will it manifest itself?

No doubt, some politicians will harshly criticize the Biden Dept of Justice. They will vow revenge once they are in the majority.

Who will organize the million-MAGA march on Washington? Will they recommend that you bring your gun?

Or are they incapable of reaching out to that many people with their insane conspiratorial ideas?

How long would it take them to organize a one-car parade?

Would more people celebrate a Trump indictment or would more people protest it?

My hunch is that more people would be pleased if it happened.

Can the Committee issue a subpoena and a criminal referral at the same time?

What would happen if the Committee sent a subpoena to Donald Trump to testify before the Committee and also, sent a criminal referral to the DOJ at the same time?

If Trump refused to testify before a Committee representing the people of the United States, the Committee could hold him in contempt of Congress, and the DOJ could then ask the Grand Jury for an indictment of Donald J Trump? It would be the ideal situation to teach America that no one is above the law and that there are consequences for ignoring a subpoena from the Congress of the U.S.

Could you imagine Donald Trump being questioned by Liz Cheney?

I don't know if this scenario is possible or likely, but it seems like an ideal way to get the wheel of justice moving?

The paranoia of a madman.

Some have said that the bigger the lie, the more people are inclined to believe it.

But when the lie becomes totally absurd, it must give pause to even the most naive of rubes?

There is fear within his words. The radical left Democrats are out to get him.

The FBI has planted documents within those they seized, he says. They are about nuclear power and nuclear construction. They are lying about me, he says.

The paranoia is thicker than a London fog. They are going to present their information to a Grand Jury and they are going to indict me.

But what about Clinton, George H.W. and George W, and Obama, he asks? They have all stolen more documents than I, he says.

And what about that bowling alley that was connected to the Chinese cafe??

Will the J6 Committee make a criminal referral to the DOJ for DJT?

Some will say that it doesn't matter. The DOJ is going to do what they are going to do, regardless of what the Committee might say.

Liz Cheney was on the tube a couple of days ago and said that they were discussing whether or not they would send a criminal referral. They have not yet decided.

In my opinion, they should, unless told by the DOJ not to do so. If they send a criminal referral, it could bolster the decision of the DOJ if they decide to indict. It would not hurt to have the people's Representatives standing behind them if they make such a momentous decision.

My hunch is that the Committee will send a criminal referral to the DOJ.
