It started when General Flynn lied to the FBI about talking with the Russians.

It continued with the firing of James Comey at the FBI. Followed by the second in command, Andrew McCabe of the FBI. Followed by their number one counter intelligence expert, Peter Strzok and his girlfriend, Lisa Page.

His first job was to dismantle the FBI and intelligence agencies. His next job was to get rid of all the left-over Republicans, like Reince Priebus, and replace them with generals, in an attempt to control the military. He then moved General John Kelly from Homeland Security to Chief of Staff. He then hired another General to head the Dept of Defense. After General Flynn was forced to leave as National Security Adviser, he began to replace all the open positions with yes-men and yes women.

By the end of his term, he had "acting" secretaries everywhere. He put in John Ratliffe, a lightweight from the House as the DNI, in charge of all the intelligence and born without a backbone.

When General Kelly left as Chief of Staff, after several disputes with the Trump family, he was replaced by another lightweight and yes-man, Mick Mulvaney. Then he discovered a crook from the House, who was a soulmate with his criminal thoughts, Mark Meadows. He then sent Mulvaney to Ireland or some far-off place as an ambassador.

But, by the end of his term, there was no one to stand up to him. He had ass-lickers in every Department of government. Congress was asleep at the wheel as he replaced one position after another in an attempt to find someone that was willing to do the dirty work. One of the prime examples was the Attorney General position. After Jeff Sessions left in a trail of tears, he finally found someone that would protect him and do his dirty work, William Barr.

Congress does not escape responsibility. By the end of his Administration, Donald Trump had weakened every institution of government and was acting dictator of America. Until the election of 2020, when Joe Biden said, "No way!"

Has the National Archives gone thru all the boxes of documents that were seized on August 8th?

If not, how do we know that there are not more documents? My bet is that there are more.

Somewhere.

The investigation is still in its early stages, they say. Perhaps we will find this out soon?

Are we looking at a flight risk?

Donald Trump's Pumpkin Patch

In the Alger Hiss spy case, Whitaker Chambers hid two rolls of film in a pumpkin patch on his farm. In 1948, he led investigators of the HUAC to the pumpkin.

People are questioning the "carelessness" of Donald Trump in mixing the classified documents with newspaper clippings, photos, handwritten notes, etc. In my opinion, it was not "carelessness", it was his way of hiding the classified documents amongst all the other information. He knew where they were. It has been reported that he would not let anyone else watch him pack the boxes, not even his closest aides.

I am convinced more than ever that this is a case of espionage.

Hiding those top secret documents in those boxes was similar to hiding those rolls of film in a pumpkin.

I watched a bit of FOX News with Sandra Smith and John Roberts a couple of hours ago...

And they were discussing the affidavit and had Karl Rove on as their guest. Interestingly, Rove did not cut Trump any slack. He gave a good timeline to their viewers of how the NARA had requested the documents and how Trump had rebuffed them. He explained how the office of presidential records kept a file of every document that went to Trump and she gave the file to the NARA and they could tell that the boxes of documents received in January did not include all the files that the former president had access to. He was very clear in his explanation.

Smith and Roberts were also very skeptical of Trump's motives and explanations. Why did he take the files to Mar-a-lago, they repeatedly asked.

I will probably check them out later today to see if anyone else has any doubts about the motives of their former president?

I wonder if they found the file on Khashoggi in one of the boxes?

Or perhaps in the safe?

I have long suspected that Trump and his son-in-law had a role in the murder of Khashoggi, who worked for the Washington Post.

If true, the penalty could not be tough enough.

Will we ever know?

Time For the Preacher

Trump is asking his advisers if he is going to be "indicted".

Heard a short report on CNN about it.

I would be surprised if he is indicted before the election in November. However, who knows what that maniac, Merrick Garland might do?

But, I do believe he will be indicted.

He has tried every trick in his delays and deceptions book and none of them are working. He has stated his innocence, even with all the evidence staring him in the face. He has filed suit. He has gone searching for a friendly judge, one that he appointed. He has called names. He has blamed others. He has threatened the Attorney General. He has called the DOJ "sleazy". He has called for the return of "his" documents. He has done everything except offer a defense for what he did.

Now, he is worried that he might be indicted.

Hopefully, he will not have to worry much longer.

The Country Needs To Come Together

If the better angels of America had their way, they would say America is too divided. This is a time when we need to be more united.

But, would it work in today's America?

Since the advent of social media, we have become more and more divided. Is there a correlation? Probably.

The American people need to raise their consciousness and understand that united, we will stand, but divided, we will fall.
