The CO Secretary of State was on Ali's show this morning.

She was discussing how a former county official, Tina Peters, had helped the Trump "enterprise" look at the CO voting machines 5 months after the Coffee County, GA incident. The "Pillow Guy" was leading the Trump attempt to confiscate the information in the voting machines.

As I recall, there was more to that story. A County Clerk in another county of CO had been given information and he had passed it on to a FOX television station in the DC area?

And the authorities were attempting to recover the information from FOX and the county executive that had passed it to them?

I have heard nothing more about that story for months.

Is HOPE really a solution?

We "hope" there will be a trial before the election.

We "hope" he will be convicted by a jury of his peers.

We "hope" he does not win his Party's nomination for the Presidency.

If he does win his primary, we "hope" that Joe Biden will defeat him in a landslide in the general election.

We "hope" Joe Biden will remain in good health for many years to come.

We "hope" the Democrats will win the House and Senate in the next election.

Without "hope", what do we have?

What one adjective best describes the Defendant?

We can think of many but there is one that fits him more accurately than any other, in my opinion.

Yes, he is traitorous. He is deceitful. He is dishonest. He is dangerous. He is cruel. He is criminal.

He is all those and more.

But the one word that best describes him, in my opinion, is "disgraceful".

After the golden escalator...

He attacked the Mexican immigrants as "rapists" and "murderers".

He said he would put his political opponent in jail. He encouraged the cheers of "Lock her up!" at his rallies.

He encouraged violence against anyone that might speak up and oppose him at his rallies. He said he would pay their fines if they were arrested while defending him. His followers were fed a steady diet of hatred and division.

He threatened individual members of the press and called them the enemy of the people. He told his people to not believe anything they saw or heard unless it came directly from him.

He ignored the emoluments clause of the Constitution by continuing to do business with shady people all around the world. He absconded with hundreds of millions of dollars while sitting in the Oval Office of the White House.

He embraced the worst dictators in the world, including the little tyrant from North Korea.

He called the White House a dump.

He tried to extort the president of Ukraine into finding dirt on his political opponent in exchange for defensive weapons to defend themselves from the Russian aggressors. He was impeached and the Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, refused to convict and hold him accountable.

He lost the election of 2020 and refused to agree to a peaceful transfer of power. He led an insurrection against the Capitol where our elected officials had to flee for their lives. He tried to over-throw our government in an attempted coup.

Once again, he was impeached. Once again, the Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, refused to convict and hold him accountable.

Now, we are where we are today because our Congress and Senate did not do their job, most specifically, the Republicans in the House and Senate. They approved the attacks upon our freedoms and our democracy.

As he stands today, free on bond in four different states and locations, he is still defended by the Republican Party at large.

There were so many opportunities that he could have been held accountable and our politicians failed in every one.

We are not where we are today by chance. We are where we are today by choice.

Sympathy For The Devil

Any other Republican, except Trump, would have accepted a peaceful transfer of power.

Which should show everyone that there was one man behind the entire conspiracy. Without Trump, there would have been no January 6th and there would have been no conspiracy and there would have been no trials.

Just as there would have been no WWII and no Holocaust without Adolf Hitler. From time to time, we have these sick, virulent people that change the natural order of things. Trump was one of those, in my opinion.

But, behind it all, were a certain number and type of people that were willing to gamble with the lives of everyone else. We know who they are.

I just finished reading the 4th indictment.

My first impression was how busy and intent they were on over-throwing the election.

They recruited an army of supporters to assist in their effort.

The closer it got to December 14th, and especially January 6th, the more desperate they became.

The pressure they put on people to make false and illegal statements must have been unbearable.

They did everything but twist the arms off of Mike Pence.

And just as the January 6th Committee reported, it was a multi-layered conspiracy to change the votes in several different ways.

Every day was like a full-court press to them.

They continued to try and overthrow the election, even after the electoral certification of January 6th. Even after Joe Biden was sworn in, they continued to try and prove the election was stolen. They were never successful.

After Biden had taken office, they continued with their efforts to get into the voting machines of Coffee County GA and other places.

They were all on a mission to change the election results to favor Donald Trump and they were all willing to lie or do whatever it took to please their boss.

The Cult is what they are and they are not going to change.

They have chosen to follow a lying narcissist and there is nothing we can do about it. They cannot be saved from their chosen path.

I have come to realize that it is a waste of time and breath to try and talk to any of them.

They believe what they believe and nothing you can say will move them.

It is best to shake the dust from our feet and move on.

They are not worth your time.

Can the "unindicted co-conspirators" be called as witnesses?

It seems like the worst of the lot are the "unindicted co-conspirators".

I'm thinking of the Steve Bannon, General Flynn, Boris Epshteyn, Don Jr, Alex Jones, Roger Stone-types of witnesses.

Would they all take the 5th?

There were 30 "unindicted co-conspirators" and they all seemed to be enmeshed deep in the Trump "enterprise"?

Or the more likely possibility is that they are likely to become "indicted co-conspirators"?

At this moment, if America was under a Pearl Harbor-like attack, would we be united?

Some may argue that the attack we are presently under is equivalent to the Pearl Harbor attack. Although our Navy was wiped out at Pearl Harbor and thousands lost their lives, our democracy is in more danger today.

But, in 1941, Democrats and Republicans were united to fight a common enemy. I would argue that Democrats and Republicans once again have a common enemy. It is a common enemy intent on destroying our democracy and tearing down our institutions, as our country is divided by propaganda and misinformation.

However, our country is not united against this enemy. Due to Party loyalties, or loyalties to a narcissistic leader, or just a simple misunderstanding of the danger we face, we are a very divided nation.

Whatever divides our people, be it issues or individual politicians, we need to put those aside at this time and realize what is at stake?

We need to unite as Americans to fight this enemy. Every person is needed. We cannot defeat the enemy as Democrats or Republicans. We must defeat it as Americans.
