Let's begin with this: at some level deep within your conscious mind, you know that Trump not only does not really care about you, he DESPISES you. Think about it---do you think this arrogant prissy germaphobe would enjoy spending time in your world without gold-plated toilets?
And, does it not bother you---at least occasionally---that the current covid death total of over 610,000 and climbing is largely due to Trump being more concerned about preserving his power and increasing his wealth than the welfare of, you know, the "little people" like you and me?
Finally, when you say you are not vaccinated because the vaccines were "rushed" and are "experimental" and you "don't want to be used as a lab rat",----pay attention to this next part---YOU ARE LYING THROUGH YOUR GODDAM TEETH! You have permitted the Trump cult to provide camouflage for the hatred and resentment that you used to realize was irrational and shameful. He has sold you the lie that by remaining unvaccinated and unmasked you are somehow wounding President Biden and his supporters and, for now, that is all that matters.
Many of you will pay for your stubborn willful ignorance with your lives and that, truthfully, does not much bother me. But, it will also cost the lives of some of your children and OUR children and that is why I will actively oppose you and discriminate against you each time I have the opportunity.
A decade from now, if you survive, you will be ashamed of the words you speak and the decisions you make today.

Many, many more instances---too many to even attempt to list---where my reaction was "This is it! This will surely take him down!", yet nothing
I hope we will soon be having one of those "Oh, thank goodness!" moments when it is revealed that
AG Garland has been quietly and effectively pursuing the multiple Trump regime criminals and anyone who helped plan, finance or incite the seditious January 6th insurrection.
Because, so far, he has not displayed the enthusiasm I hoped he'd have for "righting the wrongs" of the Trump cult. And, it certainly seems like most of the insurrectionists who have already entered pleas, have done so in exchange for slaps on the wrist. It is not an explanation to say that the "mere trespassers" did not assault an officer and they have "no priors".
They actively aided and abetted an attempt to overthrow our government. They are traitors. "Only" a year or so in prison should be the penalty for the MAGATS who "only" trespassed at the US Capitol. Those who attacked officers should receive sentences lengthy enough to deter future traitors.
When my namesake, Atticus Finch, was told a mad dog was approaching his house on
the street, he did not wait for it to bite someone before he acted. He shot it dead with a rifle.
ISIS is nothing more than a pack of mad dogs; malevolent psychopaths who have no real purpose beyond raping, murdering, pillaging and sowing as much pain, grief and chaos as possible. They are due no more leeway or tolerance than the original Atticus gave that cur on his street.

Unlike many now commenting on the cowardly Kabul attack, I only KNOW one thing:
our very decent, honest and experienced POTUS will speak to us at 5:00 p.m. ET and I will trust him to do what is right.
He is the decision maker we overwhelmingly elected to do whatever was necessary and appropriate to deal with the mess Trump created in our nation and the world.

It is a measure of how much Trumpian insanity has been normalized that a US Senator (Johnson of Wisconsin) is actively encouraging people to ingest invermectin---a veterinary paste used to treat worms in horses!---INSTEAD of getting vaccinated AND he is still able to appear in public without being pelted with rotten eggs and overripe tomatoes.

Limbaugh's arrogant daily radio rant could possibly last more than a couple months.
My work at that time involved near daily driving and I happened to catch this new guy on the car radio who began his show with "If you just don't know WHAT to think, listen to me. I'll tell you!" I was astounded that anyone could hope to build a radio show by insulting the intelligence of his listeners each time he waddled onto the AM airwaves.
My, my, my! I totally underestimated the number of shameless goobers eager to be told that their ignorance was not just ok, it was superior to anything advocated by "those liberal elites". He was eventually "honored" to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from someone even more arrogant and shameless: Donald Trump.
To be clear, my assessment of Limbaugh was totally accurate: he was an arrogant, racist, misogynistic liar---but that's what his fans loved about him and when someone with the same qualities rode down that escalator in 2015, they were ecstatic because he was an immoral hater, JUST LIKE THEM.
I misjudged Americans, not Limbaugh.
