If Trump loses, how does the GOP rebuild? I don't think they can run another racist with the

changing demographics. I think Trump got in by the skin of his teeth taking that route. In the future I think that gets harder and harder. Once he loses he will be radioactive to the GOP. A lot of his supporters will say they never liked him. Seems like the GOP will have to go back to the George Bush route courting latino's and minorities and this is going to turn off their base.

FEDERAL JUDGE HALTS SALE OF INDUSTRIAL BLEACH AS COVID-19 CURE FROM SOUTH FLORIDA CHURCH

Is this where he got the idea from?

Newsweek

A federal judge in Miami issued an order on Friday blocking the sale of an apparent hoax-cure for COVID-19, which the Justice Department says was actually industrial-strength bleach.

Several Southwest Florida residents, through a self-proclaimed religious entity, had been marketing a "Master Mineral Solution" (MMS) on their affiliated websites, stating fanciful claims about its potential applications.

The Genesis II Church of Health & Healing provided that MMS could alleviate COVID-19 through "sacramental dosing." It instructed adults to take six drops of "activated MMS" in a glass of water every two hours.

"This should wipe it out this flu-like virus that many are being scared with its presence in this world," one of the church's websites said.

Stephen Fry says Sweden's streets are 70% less busy and it's not dodging economic fallout

and yet the virus is killing many times as many people as the neighboring countries. Seems to me this is a double failure. They aren't gaining much financially and are killing a lot more people.

Infectious Disease Expert: FDA Has 'All But Given Up' Oversight On Antibody Testing

The Food and Drug Administration has “all but given up” its oversight responsibility on coronavirus antibody tests, one the country’s top infectious disease experts said Sunday.

“We have the wild, wild West for testing right now,” Dr. Michael Osterholm, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, told NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

“The FDA has all but given up its oversight responsibility for the tests we have on the market,” he added. “Many of them are nothing short of a disaster.”

Do you know anyone with coronavirus?

Tried to kick this one poll but it didn't kick. Maybe because it's over a month old? https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=13057820

If the Spanish Flu only infected 25% of the US pop, why is herd immunity even being discussed

as a solution? If we can't do better today than we did over a century ago with as little as we knew about disease then, won't we have failed? Unless the infection rate was super low that is but I can't find any stats on that.
