My prediction concerning Dan Goldman...

Here we have a brilliant, educated, competent, skilled in oration, incisive, to-the-point, and attractive individual who is quite capable of nearly single-handedly deflating the imbecilic theses of the right wing sociopaths and Insurrectionists with whom he serves.

Therefore, he’s gonna have to wind up being excoriated…by the Democrats and banished. He’s in the same state as Senator Gillebrand so it won’t be difficult for them to marshal their forces to neutralize him.

I say this in partial jest of course but I hope and pray that when he calls these idiots out severely, that we don’t have a repetition of the Alan Grayson/Al Franken affairs. I also say this because MSNBC fired someone because That Nazi Carlson complained about her. For all the complaints about Limbaugh The Pig, he was never in danger of losing an affiliate station much less his job, although he was stoking the fires of violent overthrow of the government.

While I’m at it, I’d like to suggest to the DNC that they start running ads with video of these fascists talking about eliminating Social Security and Medicare and puncturing their dirigible of bullshit and lies.

Oh yes…and a sincere “Thank you!!!” To all those who gifted me a ❤️. I’m most flattered.

I'm gonna tell you something that also REALLY bothers them..

Joe has a younger, bright, classy in her own fashion, educated and frankly hot wife. She looks great in her wardrobe, has that depth to her face and gaze, and is, as my aunt of blessed memory would say with a smile, “built cute”. She’s a college professor and you can tell she really knows the score about everything.

The RWers hate all that. She’s got it all over Melania or whatever her real name is. And she didn’t even need her kidneys fixed.

Is Romney the only decent Republican remaining?

His interview about the matter was candid and forthright, and quite frankly, right on the money. He called Santos a sick puppy, and said he didn’t deserve to be there, shaking hands with senators and the president.

It is almost hard to believe how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. I have been so traumatized by this entire turn of events that I actually remember the first time I was horrified hearing something on a national program when the day after President Clinton was elected, Somebody said that they were going to put their flag away for four years because this was not their country. Little did I reckon that 30 years later, the whole Republican party would be in bed with fascists, dictators, and former KGB leaders. I can only imagine what my parents would be saying if they were alive today. My guess is that they would be applying for renewal of their passports and urging me to leave while I still can.

Please allow me to tell you what these "replace Joe Biden" threads remind me of...

In the calendar year 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl. The Eagles were underdogs the entire playoff route, starting with the wildcard game all the way up through and including the NFC championship and then of course, the Super Bowl. They were considered to have nearly zero chance against a quarterback who is considered by many to be the greatest of all time and a team, which was a playoff Juggernaut, veteran of many Super Bowls, and a coach and a team who are known to cheat on occasion when they clearly don’t have to in order to win. But the Eagles, commandeered by the quarterback by the name of Nick Foles, who was the backup QB due to injury to the starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, who was supposed to be the football messiah here, defeated teams which were considered to be vastly superior, and then nearly miraculously won the Super Bowl with an essentially perfect game. In addition to his remarkable performance, the Eagles pulled off a trick play, which is and will be forever shown in every highlight film for which it is appropriate. Now it is important to remember that the Eagles had never won a Super Bowl, although they had participated previously, and the city was joyous beyond comprehension. It is arguable that it and the 1980 Phillies victory, which was its first world championship, were the greatest moments in the City of Philadelphia since the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed here.

But I’m getting to my point: the day after the Eagles won the Super Bowl in such glorious fashion, they were calls to the organization by many Philadelphia fans to get rid of the winning quarterback, Nick Foles, because… Well, just because. It was almost unbelievable that the man who led the team to the promised land through almost impossible odds, would be scrapped in an instant for no obvious reasons. When you would ask these people why he should go, response was a mixture of “well, we really can’t afford him now” or “he’s just not that strong a quarterback”.

I will be truthful and say it was the most peculiar thing I have experienced in the sporting world, and believe me, I have paid attention to three sports since 1958, so I’ve been around the block, particularly in this town of perennial losing teams. The same thing is going on with President Biden: he’s been successful, he’s been on the money and done so many great things following that four year catastrophe that we had, that I guess these people just think he has to go. I just don’t get it. Believe me, if the Republicans had the equivalent, they would not be a whisper of replacing their guy. I think that many of us just cannot tolerate success.

The balloon...a closer look!

In case you hadn't seen this...

Of course, FOX goes berserk when there’s a black player “of faith” but what is really making them nuts is that Jesus didn’t block Haason Reddick who hit this guy’s arm just at the exact moment to cause a season-ending injury. Now they’re “stuck” with two black QB’s for the Super Bowl. Too bad, Foxy-loxy. And oh yes…you’re broadcasting the game, right?

Comic relief: Eagle QB has GF, half of City In Mourning

https://www.inquirer.com/news/jalen-hurts-girlfriend-eagles-superbowl-20230131.html

Fantasizing about celebrities and sports figures is, of course, nothing new, and any discussion with a pro or even college player reveals stories which are often not able to be told in “mixed company“ at least in the workplace . Apparently, the Eagles quarterback has had a girlfriend with whom he has had an on again/off-again relationship, whatever that exactly means both literally and figuratively I suppose, since his days at Alabama.

What of course is amusing is the devastated people who because he was single fantasized that they had some opportunity, albeit highly improbable bordering on impossible to land him as a boyfriend or husband. And it’s all fine, people who build glass houses, and then live in them are de riguer in America, and it is well within the norm to do so.

Of course, if when I was young, I had found out that Raquel Welch, for example, was married, and I started openly complaining that my year is now ruined, I would be the subject of some fair amount of ridicule, but it’s OK. It’s a great double standard.

Of course, with Super Bowl coming up, everything makes news and this is no small story here in Philly . In the office in which I work two of the ladies were extremely upset to hear this, and I just threw up my hands and walked out of the room , which was the right thing to do, that is, to leave them to their self-induced misery.

And just think about this: somewhere there are women who are very upset that Tucker Carlson is married to another woman. 🤮
