Sorry, Project 2024 has other ideas. I just heard on Alex Witt's show that if these authoritarian loons have their way, ignoring work related e-mails during off time will be a crime.
You see, you should belong to your overlords 24/7 and be grateful for it. Get with the program, people!
Modo is the definition of the useless legacy journalist
I sometimes peruse the NYT twitter page. An hour ago they promoted a new "piece" by Maureen Dowd. I will paraphrase: the election between the unserious man and the untested woman is going to get very ugly.
Untested woman? UNTESTED WOMAN?
Resign you out of touch egotistical lazy non journalist. You're not clever. You're lazy and biased.
On the off chance that anyone on this board doesn't understand the privilege given
to white males, look at what has happened just in the last few hours. Right now, two absolute drooling idiots and moral degenerates are commanding press attention, and one is a candidate for President with a decent chance of winning!
NEVER, never would a minority male or a woman of any race with so little to offer be seen by anyone as worthy of attention.
And yet, our nominee Kamala Harris just gave a truly historic acceptance speech at the convention. She's a master communicator and an intellectual giant. But it's not enough. She must answer questions according to the corporate media's schedule because she may not be able to handle whatever it is they decide is important. There is no way she will be judged equally when she does do such an interview. We all know that.
CNN cut away from RFK before he could endorse cheato because
he sounded too crazy. Kind of like when FAUX cuts away from unhinged cheato. But he's close to either endorsing or not it seems. Not that I care.
One thing did occur to me. There's a lot of crazy crap from RFK that can be tied to cheato if he endorses him.
The corporate media's favorite term for
cheato is LASHING OUT. The chyrons on MSNBC and CNN both used that term multiple times this morning. It's been the corporate media's go to term for almost a decade now but only when talking about cheato.
He's not lying. He's LASHING OUT. He's not whining. He's LASHING OUT. He's not showing signs of senility or old age. He's LASHING OUT. He's not threatening violence. He's LASHING OUT. He's not hallucinating. He's LASHING OUT. He's not pathologically insecure, stupid, or ill informed. He's LASHING OUT.
I for one am sick of it. And I am going to lash out big time at the ballot box this fall. Hope you'll join me.
Okay, I might regret this but someone named Victor Shi just tweeted BEYONCE!!!!
has arrived, and she's trending. It could be a rumor. But I guess we'll see. Victor Shi has a lot of followers and is well known.

Cheato is calling Elizabeth Pocahontas. Wow, how cutting and original! God, he's definitely in the old Elvis stage at this point.
So against my better judgement
I switched to CNN briefly when MSNBC went to a commercial during the post convention coverage last night. Hey, I'm on the west coast, and it's still early for us when the festivities are over. Anyway, Tapper was interviewing JD Vance.
I forced myself to watch. Tapper might as well have been a robot. He ran clips of Dems taking shots at JD during the convention, which had just wrapped up, including the one where Pete takes him down about his childless people not having any physical stake in the country. After each clip, JD spewed wooden word salad. No follow ups from Jake and that stupid blank stare. He is starting to resemble Tucker Carlson. That is not journalism, but Jake "got" his interview and will no doubt use this as an example of JD willing to sit for an interview. I think anyone would sit for an "interview" like that with no follow up or pushback.
In case you are thinking this is just Jake's MO, it's not and he proved that when Gov. Pritzker went on his show. I saw a synopsis on Aaron Rupar's twitter.Suddenly he had questions and pushed back. Guess what he was curious about? He wanted to know why Kamala doesn't have enough policies. I have to say the Governor defended her pretty well, comparing her to cheato. But the double standard was glaring.
Is MSNBC covering the appalling attacks on Gus from magas?
I haven't heard it, but I've been doing other things. They absolutely should be exposed for this.
I think Simon Rosenberg is right about this
On his twitter right now: Fellow Dems one way we have to make trump look small not big is to remind folks we are winning this election, and he is losing.
Of course I understand complacency and how that could undermine us. Unfortunately though, the recent suggestions that we are behind (including by Tim Walz) may do more than spur our side to vote. Last night I saw RW pundits eagerly parroting it. Why?
I think it's obvious. If even the Dems are saying they are behind (we aren't), maga will use that as "evidence" that we cheated if we win. We are not losing. Let's not go overboard in our effort to energize our side. Close race? Absolutely. Tie? Perhaps. But denying the good poll results and momentum is not a good strategy.
