Just to be clear where I stand in the battle

of earth verses asteroids after tonight? GO ASTEROIDS!

Bitter? Damn right!

Yes we still have the veto but how much will the President be willing to use it?

It would be one thing if this were moderate Republicans but these are the Freaking Nut Jobs who just got elected. So obviously the majority of the country is as Fucking nuts as they are.

Our side will think they didn't get elected because they still didn't move far right enough and kiss even more Repuke ass.

For those saying wait for the 2016 election, they might let us hold one just for show but it will be so rigged that no Democrats will stand a chance.

Hope is a cruel joke!

SO again GO ASTEROIDS!

Just voted in Western NY

turn out wasn't too high but maybe in this case that's not a bad thing. Our county tends to go PUKE. I was afraid they might come out in high numbers because Astorino vowed he would repeal Safe Act, which is the gun control legislation Governor Cuomo lobbied for and won.

I voted because I feel it's my duty and because though Governor Cuomo had a commanding lead in the polls, I didn't want to just take it for granted that he'd win. I don't think all that highly of Cuomo, and hope he never becomes our Presidential nominee but he sure as hell is better than Astorino and I wanted to keep our county sheriff's office under a Democrat's control as well.

When it comes to voting

BLUE IS THE ONLY COLOR I DO! :

My vote is cast in honor of Professor Jack Bricker. May he RIP. He died of cancer several years ago. He was a history and political science professor at a local community college and a former Ohio State Senator.

What he taught was one of the main reasons I became a Democrat! He truly knew his subjects and was always very supportive of his students.

He said he loved my Dad and said he was one of the hardest working and smartest men he'd ever met. My Dad worked for the DPW as head mechanic and Jack was on City Council.

Jack even helped me fill out my scholarship application and gave me a glowing recommendation to the college of my choice for my last two years.

I hope he's looking down on the proceedings today and is proud that I am going all BLUE.

What critically acclaimed or "block buster movies" do you not care for?

For me I swim against the tide on "Star Wars" ( Now I loved Star Trek, BattleStar Galactica{the original} and Andromeda so I'm not anti science fiction), The Wizard of Oz, The Grapes of Wrath, and Gone with the Wind.

I do like the music from Wizard of Oz just not the movie.

What are your feelings on the Redistricting panel proposition?

I'm mixed. I think the process needs to be reformed but if legislators pick the panels, I am sure it's still going to lead to politicized gerrymandering especially on the Puke's part? I am not sure which way I should vote on this? Input appreciated.

Dog and I are both sick today

She just tossed her morning meal, mostly in tact, and I woke up with a bad case of acid reflux and overall nausea. We obviously don't eat the same foods just an unfortunate coincidence.

Shame too because the weather is gorgeous and isn't supposed to stay this way. We should be out playing. I think I am going to try taking her for a walk in a little while. Maybe fresh air and sunshine will help.

Just Received a Pet Amber Alert

phone call about 2 missing beagles. Never knew this service existed. Good idea though. Wonder how they determine who gets a call or they just call at random.

My Flu Shot is scheduled for Election Day

Do you think if I have it before I go to the polls it will protect me from the cooties I might catch from standing in line with any T-Pubs? Just Joking!

The town highway superintendent(R)

pulled in my driveway earlier and honest to God the first thing that popped into my head was "I swear I am not one of the five people who wrote in Mickey Mouse" (true story according to the local news) because you ran unopposed in the last election. I may have considered it briefly, but decided to just not vote for that position." Luckily that didn't slip out of the thought bubble.

People on our road were not happy with some changes he made to our road, including me.

He was just here to ask something about the property though.

Insomnia Remedies

When I am having one of those nights where I can't sleep, I have found a rather strange ritual helps.

I get up get a glass of milk, two Peppridge Farm's Nantucket chocolate chip cookies, and then put in a DVD of How The Universe Works narrated by Mike Rowe.

Usually on those nights I am obsessing about how the world is going to hell in a hand basket so I guess having a soothing voice talking about things beyond the troubles of our planet comforts me in some way that helps.
