Hispanic lawmakers eye leap to Biden

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/09/30/biden-2020-campaign-latino-lawmakers-011286

Several Congressional Hispanic Caucus members have quietly lobbied CHC Chairman Joaquin Castro to persuade his brother
Julián to drop out of the presidential race and run for Senate in Texas

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has largely stayed out of the presidential primary so far — partly out of respect for Julián Castro, the only Latino in the race and the brother of CHC Chairman Joaquin Castro.

But with Julián languishing at the bottom of polls with around 1 percent support, at least a handful of the group’s 38 members are on the verge of announcing their support for Joe Biden, according to sources familiar with the effort.

Their impact could provide an adrenaline boost in a Democratic contest where most campaigns are struggling to win over Hispanic voters — a bloc that will play a key role in early-state Nevada and on Super Tuesday.

Story Continued Below

“It’s kind of a work in progress, but I’m pretty confident there will be substantial Congressional Hispanic Caucus support for the vice president over the course of the next month,” said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who, along with Reps. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) and Lou Correa (D-Calif.), is leading the effort to rally the CHC behind Biden.

Biden and California Sen. Kamala Harris currently lead the Democratic primary field in CHC endorsements with three apiece.

“I know for a fact that if Biden doesn’t get elected in the primary next year, we’re gonna have Trump as a president again,” said Gonzalez, who switched his endorsement earlier this month from Julián Castro to Biden.

Ukraine must investigate Joe Biden's son, says ex-Ukrainian PM who lives in MOSCOW! (UPDATED)

https://news.yahoo.com/1-ukraine-must-investigate-joe-215824436.html

From Wikipedia: Mykola Azarov

a Ukrainian politician who was the Prime Minister of Ukraine from 11 March 2010 to 27 January 2014. He was the First Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister from 2002 to 2005 and again from 2006 to 2007. Azarov also served ex officio as an acting Prime Minister in the First Yanukovych Government when Viktor Yanukovych ran for president at first and then upon resignation of his government.

Following the victory of Viktor Yanukovych in the 2010 presidential election, Azarov succeeded Yanukovych as leader of the Party of Regions, and was appointed as Prime Minister in March 2010.[1][2] In Janiary 2014, after weeks of Euromaidan protests and the 2014 Hrushevskoho Street riots[nb 1], Azarov offered his letter of resignation.[4] Since July 2014, Azarov has been on the international wanted list for alleged abuse of power.

A good Russian asset post from a man on the international wanted list for alleged abuse of power! Just the sort of man to push the GOP/Trump Biden plot.

At least the article mentioned this.

Azarov, who was prime minister from 2010-2014, is himself wanted by Ukrainian authorities for alleged abuse of power. An Interpol red notice issued in 2015 at the request of Ukrainian authorities said he was wanted on accusations of charges including embezzlement and misappropriation.

Azarov denies any wrongdoing and Reuters cannot determine whether there is any active investigation on him.

Azarov said he was not aware of any evidence suggesting wrongdoing on Hunter Biden's part, but said it was in the Ukrainian public interest to ascertain the legality of his activities.

I peeked at a conservative blog -- scary stuff; Go there at your own risk!

Just a sample (note the undercurrent of violence in some of them!)

The Global Swamp Creatures are all over the place working hard to destroy Trump in hope's of starting a Civil War! The leader is George Soros along with Hussein Obama, SocialistCrats, the Rothchilds, etc., etc., etc.
[snip]
Today, its a socialist globalist big government control of our country vs a nationalist republic based on liberty and free enterprise. and yes this is a civil war and the hope is it remains relatively blood free but the effort by the left to disarm and tax the population into submission is akin to another big gun fired into FT Sumter.
[snip]
... there is a civil war and we are in the middle of it.. just hasn't been any gun battles... at this point

[snip]
I firmly believe from the bottom of my heart, that Trump is going to give 150% in this job as POTUS. His heart and soul will be in it all the way, his intentions are in the right place and he has surrounded himself with intelligent people.

Kind of incredible.

Washington, D.C., September 24, 2019 – A new Reuters/Ipsos public opinion survey of 1,005 Americans shows that 74% of Americans have heard of the situation involving President Trump, Joe Biden and the president of Ukraine, and 17% say they have heard a “great deal” about it. When asked what they have heard about Trump, Biden and the president of Ukraine:

37% say they heard that the story came about because of a whistleblower complaint that the administration tried to cover up;
29% say they heard President Trump is trying to coerce Ukraine into investigating Joe Biden;
27% say they heard President Trump is abusing the power of the office of the presidency;
14% say they heard Joe Biden has improperly pushed for the firing of a Ukrainian general prosecutor.

When asked what they think of the situation involving Trump, Biden, and Ukraine, 39% say that President Trump is trying to smear Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 presidential campaign, 26% say they believe Joe Biden is trying to cover up a potential scandal that could hurt him in the 2020 presidential campaign, and 35% are unsure. Partisanship plays a large role in perceptions: 72% of Democratic registered voters believe Trump is trying to smear Biden, compared to just 17% of Republican registered voters. More than half of Republican registered voters believe that Biden is trying to cover up a potential scandal (53%) compared to just 9% of Democratic registered voters who feel the same way.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) came out against former Vice President Joe Biden this weekend

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but she is dead wrong about Joe.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) came out against former Vice President Joe Biden this weekend, saying it’s “very clear” that he’s the wrong choice to take on President Donald Trump in next year’s election.

“There are few people who fit into the kind of progress that we all want to see in this country. And I would say he is not one of them,” Omar told the Guardian, adding: "I think it has been very clear to many of the people who have been creating the kind of movement that is exciting generations, that we want somebody who really has a plan that is going to tackle a lot of the systematic challenges that we have, and he doesn’t.”

There will be no systematic changes from a "movement that is exciting generations," if the candidate who passes this muster cannot be elected, or if elected, cannot pass legistlation to further the agenda. We need to get someone elected who can get things done.

Go Joe!
