The Media Is Deeply Invested In The NFL, Ray Rice story will go away much quicker than expected..

I think it must be said how deeply the media is invested in the NFL. I believe that after a relatively short time the story about Ray Rice will go away. Some media may keep track, but most slowly/or quickly stop covering it. TV has billions in contracts, and does not want that league to loose viewers. Because if NFL "football" looses viewers, other football may loose viewers too. Another sport is gaining in popularity among young viewers, and the vested interests do not want that sport, soccer, to take viewers from NFL and other football. I am not in charge, but the NFL and all media wants this to go away. Local TV devotes lots of time to football reports and updates. Sports segments have huge numbers of viewers. Sports magazines obviously love the NFL, and do not want fewer purchases for any reason. So, that is why I believe this one will go away faster than many desire. Tough for us. It is the media's football game and the rest can go away.

Hard to believe, but a Republican president said the following about guns and warships..

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." DWIGHT D EISENHOWER, speech April 16, 1953:

and...........my guess is, he really did see what war was all about...

Quite a long time ago, and you will never hear that from any Republican today...

How Police Caught A Cop Who Allegedly Abused 8 Black Women..Buzzfeed from Huff Post

http://www.buzzfeed.com/jtes/daniel-holtzclaw-alleged-sexual-assault-oklahoma-city

OKLAHOMA CITY — Daniel Holtzclaw made a mistake, an Oklahoma County prosecutor argued on Wednesday: “He messed up.”

Holtzclaw’s mistake was pulling over the wrong person: A woman who, when he allegedly assaulted her, wouldn’t hesitate to call the police.

It happened around 2 a.m. on June 18, when Holtzclaw, a 27-year-old police officer, was ending his shift on the northeast side of Oklahoma City. He switched off his patrol car computer. Then, without calling for assistance or otherwise notifying his station, police said, Holtzclaw made a traffic stop.

The woman — identified in court documents as J.L. and in local media reports as a 57-year-old grandmother — said she was driving home after playing dominos with a friend, according to detective Kim Davis, who recounted J.L.’s story at length during a hearing at the Oklahoma County Courthouse

This is pretty ugly, and it fairly long.. This story goes at length as to how Oklahoma City police caught this man. While this event has been up before, this describes the lengthy process that went into the arrest. There is a whole lot of evidence that the story describes. It is quite descriptive and ugly. But the evidence is strong as it is presented here. You decide..
