rbrnmw's JournalHas anybody here ever seen a race card?
I wonder what they look like? I have never seen one in my 46 years alive. Yet they have to be pretty popular since PoC are always told they are playing it. Oh and while I'm asking what is race bait? Is that some super-duper type of fishing bait? I have never seen it either. I suspect they don't exist but racists assure me that they do.
The Hoods are dropping like rats in an arsenic factory.
Damn those racists are assholes. I truly feel hate right now. I can't believe this shit can stand on DU.

1. Telling black people they are being divisive when they discuss racism.
Black people aren't the problem; a white supremacist system that allows cops to kill black people at disproportionate rates is the issue. So is racism in employment, education, housing, law enforcement, etc. It takes a toll on us, and we don't have to use language that makes white people feel comfortable while articulating that, either. Black people discussing racism and the white privilege that disenfranchises us is not divisive.
If you really need to talk about it, it is probably best to message your friend privately to discuss his status if you have questions about the tone. Calling him divisive in public, especially during a time of racial turmoil, isn't the best idea. Remember, there are few spaces where black people feel safe discussing racism. Facebook is one of them. Respect their space. If you don't like what they say, that's on you.
x-posted: what happened to negotiations between police and suspects?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026004313Do they really have to start shooting at every threat they perceive? Unarmed or Armed in some cases like Tamir Rice and John Crawford. It is clear they didn't have time to tell either of them to drop a weapon which turned out to be toys. If they are in public isn't the general public in more danger if these cops start shooting out of nervousness? I just don't understand how it is so reactionary anymore.

Yes I am suspicious of 2 news stories in the Media
First right after America finds out how pissed folks are about cops getting away with murder of unarmed black men, we have some armed black man from Georgia going to Brooklyn and killing 2 cops. I am having trouble with that one.
Second now we have this new killing of supposed armed 18 year old black teen Antonio Martin near Ferguson for proof we get grainy video from gas station that has been edited. The cop had body cam but didn't have it on. The dash cam won't be released. I am having trouble with this one too.
Maybe the Media is just using these stories to stop peaceful protests or at least discourage protesters
Regardless they won't stop the protests as far as a lot of folks I know are concerned which is a good thing. I hope everyone else feels that way too.
It's like turning a light switch on in a Roach Hotel
Every post about Reverend Sharpton President Obama Or AG Eric Holder or any outspoken Person of Color who says anything that makes them the least uncomfortable is attacked with some of the most vile racist shit. Why is that?
Dear White People: Repent! Very Powerful
https://davidswanson.wordpress.com/2014/12/22/hey-white-people-repent/On Facebook & Twitter I recently made the following statement: To my white brothers & sisters: our participation in the #?BlackLivesMatter movement begins with our repentance & confession. A friend read this and asked if I could suggest any resources for repentance. Ill suggest one such resources at the end of this post, but I want to start by filling in my original statement just a bit.
During the past few weeks Ive wondered about how white people can participate in protests, marches, and movements for justice on behalf of black and brown people. This is worth thinking carefully about since the white protestors, like myself, are complicit in and beneficiaries of the very systems responsible for the injustices targeted by the protests. A white person presents at least two challenges in these settings: his presence is a reminder of the privilege and prejudice that makes the protest necessary and his formation within a white supremacist system makes his participation in a movement to dismantle such a system complicated.

With all the racial tension in GD I feel uncomfortable posting there.
I just can't understand their defending the murdering cops . They are mean about it too. Anyone else ready to bounce from DU?
