Bottom line is that the FBI would be happier to have me send $98 to some lawyer than to arrest me as a terrorist and confiscate all my properties and money.

The last of my 8 nieces & nephew starts college tomorrow..............
He's the youngest and is going to school in North Carolina via Pennsylvania. He was over for a dinner last week with his "favorite" aunt & his grandmother.
I have sent the other 7 away to college with my list of 2-3 things they need to do in order to have a safe college experience. They are:
1. Don't drink anything someone hands to you, unless it's in a can or bottle with its lid still on & not opened at all.
2. If you're going to have sex, have protected sex.
3. This was for 2 of my nieces & 2 nephews who went to school in small towns in West Virginia & Pennsylvania "don't go
walking in the woods during hunting season."
4. Only this one is for my nephew going to school in NC "don't discuss the Civil War with anyone."
Does anyone else have a gut feeling.............

I need to thank Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt for today..........
Today I took my 83 year old mother and a neighboring couple to a Polka Party/Dance in Norvelt, Pennsylvania. It was held at the Eleanor Roosevelt Hall.
Norvelt was created by the Roosevelt Administration in 1934 (originally called the Westmoreland Homestead Lands). Over 1200 acres were purchased by the Federal Government to be homesteaded by laid off coal miners in Western PA. 250 homes were built (by the homesteaders) and the accompanying acreage was to be farmed and to supply all the needs of the homesteaders. It was a communal farming district. There was a health center in the community and a grocery store owned by the community as a non-profit. Each homesteader paid $12-$14 a month for the home, with the rent going toward the purchase of the homes. Eventually each home was owned for approximately $12,000 each.
By the mid 1940's the homesteading idea had diminished because employment in industry was available in surrounding communities. In 1937 Eleanor Roosevelt visited the community and the residents were so impressed with her interest in the community they renamed the town for Mrs. Roosevelt(Elea NOR Roose VELT. The hall we were in today was built and named for Mrs. Roosevelt. In the hall there is a niche in the wall with a bust of Mrs. Roosevelt.
So, if there wasn't this idea to help the unemployed in 1934 by building a new community, I would not have been able to take my Mom out today, for a day that was for her, my neighbors and me, a most enjoyable day. We even won a door prize.
I want to thank the Roosevelts.

I got an email that was dated yesterday and sent at 5:43 p.m. I read it this morning around 11 a.m. It was an offer for a phone interview for either today or tomorrow.
I replied that tomorrow, July 3 would be fine and the time for the interview was at the writer's discretion as I was free all day. It is now 8:40 EST and I have no reply from the sender. What should I do?
Also what's interesting is that it is not for a job I applied for within this organization. I have found a job description and I do meet the qualifications. I'm not even sure what City this job is located in.

Does anyone know DEA rules & regulations?
I went to Costco Pharmacy to have a prescription filled for vicodin. They have been filling this script for about 8 months. I give the script to the pharmacist, do some shopping then head back to pick up the script.
The pharmacy tech asked for my ID, they've never asked in the past, but ok, I don't mind showing it to her. She then takes it from me & says she needs a copy for the "files" that it is a DEA rule that the pharmacy must have a copy of the person's ID who is receiving a controlled substance.
I can see a requirement that you furnish ID when filling & receiving a prescription for a controlled substance, but the pharmacy hanging onto that information, I have a problem with.
Does anyone know if there is such a rule. I've been googling, etc. and can't find anything yet.
As an aside, I've lost 90 lbs. since that DL photo was taken, so someone could make a case that I'm not who I am. I also take the medication for chronic pain due to spinal stenosis, a badly repaired broken hip, and sciatica.
