Interesting twitter thread on the new Israel government

If this happened in the U.S. it would be like if Ted Cruz made a deal with Joe Manchin for Cruz to replace Trump as president for 2 years and then Manchin the next 2 years while the cabinet Secretaries would be filled with Majorie Taylor Green, Josh Hawley, Gaetz, Bernie Sanders, AOC, Colin Powell, Jill Stein, Angus King and Ralph Nader

I am pretty sure that Fox News and conservatives are outraged with this statement, too

Democratic filibuster vs Republican filibuster

I have been following politics for 3 decades and one thing that I keep on noticing is that when the Democratic minority filibusters bills, it’s the bills where they had no say in and the Republican majority is just trying to ram it down and then when Democrats filibuster they call them obstructionist....but when the Republican minority filibuster bills is things that they had a say in and have actually watered down, but they still vote no, and they cry and complain that the Democrats weren’t being bipartisan.....and unfortunately both strategies seem to work out well for them

So it could have been 54 ayes and 0 nays

And the bill would have still died....the filibuster needs to be changed

There at least needs to be filibuster reform

If manchin doesn’t want to kill the filibuster, then he should at least make changes....two off the top of my head are making it require 3/5 of ‘present’ Senators and also making it a talking filibuster...he is all about tradition, those two things were taken out in the 70’s so that would restore tradition....case in point, 9 Republicans missed the vote today...the final vote of 54-35 is 3/5.

If Joe Manchin really cared about saving our government

He would vote to end the filibuster, setup the Jan 6 commission, pass the infrastructure bill, and pass HR1....even if it cost him his seat in the next election..... heidi heitkamp, joe Donnelly, and Doug Jones showed more courage than him with their votes.
