The former president was prohibited earlier this month from commenting publicly about court staffers by state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron after Trump disparaged a clerk on Truth Social, but MeidasTouch Network noticed he shared a post by right-wing activist Laura Loomer that appeared to expose the attorney general's home address.
James is not a court staffer and the court order did not refer to her directly but as the person who filed the lawsuit against Trump and her associate, she is a central player.
"Her Fake Case against me should be dropped immediately!" Trump posted Monday at 8:45 p.m. "My Financial Statements are extremely conservative, and her numbers were way off, including the fact that she undervalued Mar-a-Lago and Doral by Billions of Dollars. She also didnt reveal the 100% Disclaimer Clause at the front of the Financial Statements, and that she sued me under a Statute that was never used before. MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE AND ELECTION INTERFERENCE ALL WRAPPED UP IN ONE!"
The post linked to a Substack article published by Loomer that sketches out a tenuous link between James and "Christian J. French, The Trump hating COO and heir to the Anti-Trump 'Regional News Network (RNN),'" and which splashes screenshots of financial records that display what appears to be the attorney's home address in Brooklyn.....................

Record-low water levels recorded along the Mississippi River
The Mississippi River is one of the most important trade routes in the continental U.S.
Mississippi River water levels have reached new record lows from Missouri to Arkansas, preventing shipments of grain and other important goods from making their way downriver during one of the busiest times of year, according to data from the National Weather Service (NWS).
The phenomenon is a repeat of last year, when hundreds of barges sat idle along the Mississippi River because of shallow waters.
On Monday morning, Mississippi River surface levels in both Memphis, Tennessee, and Osceola, Arkansas, were recorded at -11.67 feet below normal levels, according to the NWS..........................

Former President Donald Trump is on trial in New York in a $250 million lawsuit that could alter the personal fortune and real estate empire that helped propel Trump to the White House.
Trump, his sons Eric and Don Jr., and Trump Organization executives are accused by New York Attorney General Letitia James of engaging in a decade-long scheme in which they used "numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation" to inflate Trump's net worth in order get more favorable loan terms. The former president has denied all wrongdoing and his attorneys have argued that Trump's alleged inflated valuations were a product of his business skill........................

Trump, back at court in NYC this morning, viciously attacks AG James, who he describes at "ranting and raving like a lunatic." He also claims Mar-a-Lago is "the most expensive house, probably, in the world" and adds that it's worth as much as $1.5 billion.

FDA faces pressure to act nationwide on red dye in food
Source: npr
By Allison Aubrey Published October 17, 2023 at 5:00 AM EDT
There's new pressure on the Food and Drug Administration to take action on the synthetic food coloring, red No. 3, after California passed a law to ban it last week.
,............
.....................
Back in 1990, the FDA halted the use of the red No. 3 in cosmetics and externally applied drugs, such as medicated ointments or lotions, based on a study that it can cause cancer in rats. But the FDA continued to allow the dye's use in foods and has become ubiquitous in the U.S. food supply. Since then, multiple studies have linked consumption of synthetic dyes to behavioral issues in children, including hyperactivity.
"For 33 years now, we have been waiting for the FDA to take common sense action that would remove [red No. 3] ....................
"The vibrant colors are important to our industry," says Christopher Gindlesperger, of the National Confectioners Association, a trade group that includes companies that make candy. Red No. 3 is also found in many other foods and beverages, such as bright-colored sodas, juices, yogurts, snacks and frozen desserts. He says his industry does not use any ingredients that do not comply with FDA's safety standards.
But Gindlesperger says the California ban, slated to take effect in 2027, would create a patchwork of state requirements that could increase food costs and create confusion amongst consumers, including parents.

Fed Judge Tanya Chutkan -issues gag order & "publicly blasts him in open court. "
She is not afraid of the thug Trump!! You go gal!!
BREAKING: Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan drops bombshell on indicted 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, slaps him with a devastating gag order and publicly blasts him in open court.
According to CNN, Judge Chutkan declared today, Mr. Trump is a criminal defendant. He is facing four felony charges. He is under the supervision of the criminal justice system and he must follow his conditions of release. He does not have the right to say and do exactly what he pleases.
Then he asked Trumps attorney, Do you agree with that?
Trumps lawyer responded, 100%.
Then Chutkan declared, When you start to use a word like thug to describe Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is doing his job, that wouldnt be allowed by any other criminal defendant. Just because the defendant is running a political campaign does not allow him to do whatever he wants. If the message Mr. Trump wants to express is my prosecution is politically motivated, he can do so without using highly charged language.
Judge Chutkan didnt stop there, declaring that Trumps troubling posts may incite harm and violence against Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team.
Judge Chutkan specifically pointed to a Truth Social post in which the former president referred to Jack Smith as a thug, asking Trumps attorney, In what kind of case do you think it would be appropriate for a criminal defendant to call the prosecutor a thug and stay on the streets?
At this point, Trumps attorney told Judge Chutkan that Trump has no choice but to attack Jack Smith because gems fighting oppression and totalitarianism, but Judge Chutkan didnt let him get away with it, cutting off Trumps lawyer, and telling him to tone down his hysterical language.
Trumps attorney responded that Trump didnt need anymore restrictions because the prior restrictions were working, but Judge Chutkan literally laughed in his face and him that he better keep politics out of her courtroom.
To make matters even worse for Trump, Judge Chutkan ended todays hearing by letting Trump know that that the trial date set for early March wont change: This trial will not yield to the election cycle, and we will not revisit the trial date.
BRAVO, Judge Chutkan!👏👏👏

A Wisconsin Democrat is asking the state Supreme Court's new liberal majority to eliminate funding for the state's four taxpayer-funded school voucher programs and independent charter schools while also lifting state-imposed limits on the amount of funding public schools can receive without a referendum.
If successful, the lawsuit would upend the state's K-12 education landscape by effectively eliminating the school voucher programs, one of which is more than 30 years old and used by nearly 30,000 children in Milwaukee.
Private school voucher programs provide participating schools with a taxpayer-funded voucher to pay for the tuition for each student who is eligible to enroll in the program. The students are typically from lower- and middle-income families.
The state's first voucher program began in Milwaukee in 1990, but the number of vouchers exploded over the last 10 years after Republicans made it a priority to expand the program to the rest of the state.
Last school year, about 29,000 students participated in the Milwaukee voucher program, 17,000 in the statewide program, 4,000 in the Racine program, and 2,000 in the state's voucher program for students with disabilities costing a total of about $444 million.
The lawsuit was brought by former Democratic candidate for the U.S. House and state Assembly Kirk Bangstad, who owns the Minocqua Brewing Co. and has created a political action committee using his brewery's namesake to raise money for Democratic causes. The brewery produces beer with politically themed names.

Madison mogul Eric Hovde will want you to cast your ballot for him if he decides to take on Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin next year.
But records show Hovde has often done a poor job getting to the polls himself in the past decade.
Of the last 15 contests since the 2018 general election, Hovde has voted in only six of them.
Hovde, a banker and property manager, is one of several Republicans considering taking on Baldwin, who is in her second term in Washington, D.C. Others considering a bid include Franklin businessman Scott Mayer and former Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr.
In 2019, for instance, Hovde didn't vote in the hotly contested spring contest between conservative Brian Hagedorn and liberal Lisa Neubauer for the state Supreme Court, an election Hagedorn won by only about 6,000 votes. There's no record that Hovde requested an absentee ballot to vote in this race.
Hovde also skipped the spring election in April 2022. The Facebook page for one of his California banks shows he was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on a luxury sportfisher on an "annual bond trip" the day before the election.
