Support for impeachment has slipped in Wisconsin, according to Wednesday's Marquette University Law School Poll.

And for the first time, President Donald Trump has surged ahead of all four top Democratic rivals in potential head-to-head matchups.

Just 40% of Wisconsin registered voters believe Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while 53% disagreed, according to the survey

The poll of 801 registered Wisconsin voters was conducted Nov. 13 through Sunday, during the opening week of public hearings in the House impeachment inquiry.

In October, before public testimony began, the Marquette poll showed that 44% said the president should be impeached and removed while 51% said he should not be.

Diving deeper into this month's numbers on impeachment, 52% said Trump asked the Ukraine president to investigate his political rivals, while 29% said he did not. Forty-one percent said Trump held up military aid to pressure the Ukraine president while 38% said he did not.................................

Sondland Implicates Pence In Comment About Quid Pro Quo

Source: tpm

WASHINGTON, DC - NOVEMBER 20: Gordon Sondland, the U.S ambassador to the European Union, testifies before the House Intelligence Committee in the Longworth House Office Building on Capitol Hill November 20, 2019 in ... MORE

November 20, 2019 12:19 p.m.

Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland relayed an exchange he had with Vice President Mike Pence when he alluded to the quid pro quo, and Pence nodded in response.

Sondland said that it happened at a “briefing” with multiple people in the room just before Pence left to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw on September 1. Sondland was addressing the withheld military aid that Zelensky would likely be upset about when Pence met with him.

“I just spoke up and I said, ‘it appears that everything is stalled until this statement gets made,’ something, words to that effect,” Sondland said, referring to the statement President Donald Trump wanted Zelensky to make announcing the bogus investigations into the Bidens and the 2016 election. “And that’s what I believed to be the case, based on, you know, the work that the three of us had been doing: Volker, Perry and myself. And the Vice President nodded like, you know, he heard what I said and that was pretty much it as I recall.”...............................

‘It’s all over’: Trump shouts Sondland quotes at reporters before wandering off without taking questions

Published 2 hours ago on November 20, 2019

President Donald Trump did not answer questions while leaving the White House nearly an hour late for an event in Texas.

Trump departed during questioning of Ambassador Gordon Sondland, whose testimony earlier in the day had implicated the president, Vice President Mike Pence, Rudy Giuliani and others.

“I don’t know him very well. I have not spoken to him much. This is not a man I know well. He seems like a nice guy though,” Trump said of Sondland.............................

‘Unusual’: Reporters surprised as a large swath of Republicans go missing during Sondland testimony

Published 17 mins ago

Reporters covering the House impeachment inquiry were mystified after most of the Republican lawmakers left the room during EU ambassador Gordon Sondland’s testimony.

Sondland directly implicated President Donald Trump, as well as Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in the scheme to withhold military aid from Ukraine until its president agreed to announce an investigation of Joe Biden........................

The Republican minority appeared to be caught off guard by Sondland’s decision to turn on senior administration officials................................
