As important an issue as the Epstein files is, the obvious coverup is not the only nefarious shit this lawless administration is up to. There is a plan for an autocratic takeover of the US government, suppression of the vote, and a silencing of dissent. If not enough people wake up to this fact now, we will be living in a full-on dictatorship by November.
Is the gist of project 2025 that Republicans get
to change everything they don’t like? They don’t want to control the narrative, they want to control the world.
That poor child.
I went food shopping last night, and passed a couple with their two children. The girl, about 3, was trying to climb into a refrigerator case, and the mother called out to reprimand her. I couldn’t believe the name of the child. The poor thing is called Melania. The mother seemed proud of the name choice as she called the child by name four or five times before I could escape the vicinity.
I suppose we should feel grateful that at least Fettermanchin did not
vote for the actual CR (Senator Shaheen, what is wrong with you?). But I am sick of his mocking of people who speak up. He looks childish and out of touch. Like Republicans and most of the MSM, he saves his sharpest barbs for Democrats and Democratic constituents.
I think my wife and I just witnessed an ogre of a husband intimidating his wife
at the early voting site. They were ahead of us on line, and I heard him tell his wife that she has to ensure she registers as a republican for the next election cycle.Then my wife saw him standing over her as she voted. We have those small standing tables with panels blocking three sides, and it is easy to see over someone's shoulder from behind. So much for a secret ballot. I wonder how often this is happening.
I was wrong.
The witness who said he saw a gunman on the roof sounded very credible. From what he said, it seems the Secret Service was slow to react. I thought the Secret Service around Trump seemed nonchalant in the video, but they knew the shooter was dead by that time. Now it looks like the teleprompter may have saved his life. This in no way makes Trump a hero.
A bunch of Susans
Susan Sarandons, that is. The corporate cabal of the Democratic Party has on the same blinders that she and her kind can’t shake. They are selfish and myopic. They feel they can weather the Trump storm(troopers), but don’t think about those who cannot. They know there is no better candidate than President Biden who can defeat Trump, and they treat this as a game. It’s time to put up or shut up (cliché regretted). The only viable options are Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom. I’ve read that they don’t want Kamala either (wonder why). Gavin Newson will not help in the blue wall states and has zero campaign funds. Where is the advantage?
The corporate Democrats want someone a smidge to the left of the extinct kinder, gentler republican. It is obvious they are looking to give them new life in the Democratic Party. Sorry to break the news.
How about a Rally for the President?
I am only floating this here and have no way to make it happen. But wouldn't it be a powerful statement if hundreds of thousands of people went to DC to support our president and democracy? I think it could happen. I'd rather do it this way this time rather than as a protest after a second Trump victory. If they build it, I will come.
It's not Biden's age but the fact that his presidency was more progressive than
the moneyed class expected or wanted. They'll take fascism over progressivism any day of the week. Concerned Democrats are playing right into the hands of the malicious right. With a candidate like Trump, the Republican Party should be the one that is desperate, but right-wing media (i.e., most media) has the Democrats tripping over themselves to fuck up any chance of winning the election.
It is clear the MSM is carrying water for Trump's campaign and
will be a propaganda machine for his administration if that is the abominable result of the 2024 election.
