WINTERSET, Iowa – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is kicking off a swing through Iowa at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum, where he received an endorsement from the western film actor's daughter, Aissa Wayne.
The endorsement was announced Tuesday in front of a life-size, rifle-toting model of the actor in full cowboy gear.
Aissa Wayne says the country needs a strong and courageous leader like her father. She said John Wayne would be offering his endorsement if he were still alive.
Trump says he was a big fan of Wayne and that the actor represented strength and power — which the American people are looking for.

UPDATE: Lemmy Kilmister died of prostate cancer, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ. The rocker was also suffering from an irregular heartbeat and congestive heart failure at the time of his death.
Lemmy Kilmister, the lead singer and bassist of Motörhead and a heavy metal icon for six decades, passed away Monday after a battle with cancer. Kilmister turned 70 on Christmas Eve. The band's official Facebook confirmed Kilmister's passing, noting, "There is no easy way to say this … our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer."

Rodger Bumpass (actor who plays Squidward on "SpongeBob SquarePants") arrested for DUI

Rodger Bumpass -- the actor who plays Squidward Tentacles on "SpongeBob SquarePants" -- was arrested Friday night for DUI.
Law enforcement sources tell us cops noticed a blue PT Cruiser stopped in the middle of a road just before 11 PM with a man leaning against the car.
When cops walked up to the guy -- Bumpass -- they say he walked away and was so unsteady he nearly fell.
Our sources say Bumpass confessed to driving just before cops spotted him and he was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. Our sources tell us ... Bumpass' blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Stuntman? Jamie Foxx don't need no stinking stuntman -- he sprung into action and saved a driver from an overturned, burning car ... TMZ has learned.
The wreck happened at 8:30 PM on Monday -- a single vehicle appears to have skidded on wet roads, hit a ditch and flipped upside down. It ended up in front of Jamie's gate in normally sleepy Hidden Valley ... northeast of L.A.
Witnesses tell us Foxx told CHP officers he heard the accident, ran to the scene and saw the driver buckled into his seat. Fearing the burning car would explode ... Jamie told cops he unbuckled the man and dragged him about 30 feet away from the accident.
We're told Jamie had called 911 before his heroics, and cops and firefighters eventually got there and transported the victim to a hospital with major injuries, including burns.

She may have "lost her virginity" to Bowie, but she logged quite a few underaged hours with Page, and he bragged about it often.

"American Pie" singer arrested on domestic violence charge

CAMDEN, Maine -- A jail supervisor says "American Pie" singer Don McLean has been arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Maine.
Cpl. Brad Woll says McLean was arrested and posted $10,000 bail early Monday at the Knox County Jail.
The 70-year-old singer-songwriter lives in Camden, Maine. A message left for the police chief there by The Associated Press was not immediately returned. Police responded to his home shortly after 2 a.m. for a 911 call. The victim of the assault did not require hospital treatment, police told CBS affiliate WGME.
Woll says he did not know if McLean had a lawyer. A message seeking comment was left through the singer's website. A phone number listed under his name rang unanswered.
