Little Roy, Lyin' Roy, Low-Energy Roy, Rocket Roy. "...a huge blow to Trump..."

Former Alabama chief justice Roy Moore wins contentious GOP Senate runoff in a huge blow to Trump

Judge Roy Moore, Alabama’s controversial former chief justice and current Senate candidate, has won his primary challenge against the state’s incumbent Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL).

Strange, who was appointed by former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley after Attorney General Jeff Sessions vacated his Senate seat to go to the Department of Justice, was backed by President Donald Trump.

Moore, on the other hand, was the candidate of choice for Trump’s former national security adviser Steve Bannon, who instructed his staff at the right-wing news site Breitbart to run attack pieces on Strange.

As the contentious race between Moore and Strange heated up, an interview the former chief justice gave in 2005 in which he said he believed “homosexual conduct should be illegal” resurfaced. His controversial behavior led right up to the eve of his win, when Moore pulled out a pistol at a campaign rally to show his support for gun rights.

Exclusive: IRS shares information with special counsel in Russia probe

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)The IRS is now sharing information with special counsel Robert Mueller about key Trump campaign officials, after the two entities clashed this summer over both the scope of the investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 election and a raid on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's home, people briefed on the matter tell CNN.

Part of the concern centered on the far-reaching and broad requests from Mueller's team. In the case of Manafort, Mueller's investigators are reaching back 11 years as they investigate possible tax and financial crimes, according to search warrant documents. Mueller is bound by a written order issued by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in May which allows the special counsel to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

After several months of being at odds, one source said, the IRS Criminal Investigation division is now sharing information about campaign associates, including Manafort and former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn. The sharing happened after the two camps reached an agreement following consultation with officials at the Treasury Department.

CNN has learned the IRS Criminal Investigation agents had been working with the FBI to investigate Manafort since before the election in a similar probe that centered on possible money laundering and tax fraud issues, according to the sources. It's unclear if Flynn is now or was previously under investigation by the IRS. CNN has reported that Mueller's team is examining Flynn's payments from Turkey and Russia.

ONION: "Babbling, Grinning McConnell Demands EMTs Loading Him On Stretcher Vote Yes On Health Care"

Babbling, Grinning Mitch McConnell Demands EMTs Loading Him On Stretcher Vote Yes On Healthcare Bill

WASHINGTON—A crazed grin spreading across his face as his eyes darted wildly from one paramedic to another, sources said Tuesday that a babbling Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell demanded that the EMTs loading him onto a stretcher outside the Capitol vote ‘Yes’ on the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill. “Obamacare is collapsing under its own weight, and the American people have suffered enough under its tyranny—we must take action!” shouted McConnell, launching into a speech he had reportedly planned to make on the Senate floor but was now delivering to the two medical technicians strapping his arms to a gurney and preparing to administer an IV. “The time is now to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with a plan that will cost less and restore freedom to the states! We cannot delay any longer! We cannot delay!” At press time, McConnell’s motion for a roll call vote was muffled by the oxygen mask being placed over his mouth.

It's my single favorite Leon performance of all time. On that second album, "Leon Russell and the Shelter People," you were truly hearing the Master of Time and Space" in action.

Trump: Puerto Rico "billions of dollars in debt to Wall Street which, sadly, must be dealt with"

President Trump, facing mounting questions about his commitment to Puerto Rico’s recovery, took to Twitter Monday night, saying the U.S. territory is “in deep trouble,” in part because of problems that predated Hurricane Maria.

Trump said Puerto Rico was already suffering from “broken infrastructure,” including an old electrical grid, which he said was “devastated” by Hurricane Maria, as well as “massive debt.”

“Food, water and medical are top priorities — and doing well,” Trump said in his series of tweets, which credited the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The president added that Puerto Rico is “billions of dollars in debt to Wall Street and the banks which, sadly, must be dealt with.”

Internet troll posing as Jared Kushner tricks lawyer into spilling beans on private email use

Internet troll posing as Jared Kushner tricks lawyer into spilling beans on private email use from White House

https://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/internet-troll-posing-as-jared-kushner-tricks-lawyer-into-spilling-beans-on-private-email-use-from-white-house/

Business Insider reports that a prankster posing as Jared Kushner emailed Kushner’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, and got him to open up about his client’s use of a private email account to conduct official White House business.

The prankster emailed Lowell on Monday asking him for advice on what to do with emails sent from his private account that contained “some correspondence… featuring adult content.”

“I think one was forwarded from a White House official, we had discussed a shared interest of sorts,” the troll responded. “It was unsolicited. Then there are a handful more, but not from officials.”

“I need to see I think all emails between you and WH (just for me and us),” Lowell replied. “We need to send any officials emails to your WH account. Not stuff like you asked about. None of those are going anywhere.”

Pennsylvania fire chief calls Steelers coach Mike Tomlin a ‘no-good n*gger’ over NFL protests

https://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/pennsylvania-fire-chief-calls-steelers-coach-mike-tomlin-a-no-good-ngger-over-nfl-protests/

CBS Pittsburgh reports that Paul Smith, the chief of the volunteer fire department in Cecil Township, Pennsylvania, posted on Facebook that Tomlin “just added himself to the list of no-good n*ggers” for his decision to note take the field during the anthem.

“Yes, I said it,” Smith added afterward.

Many people in the town reacted angrily to Smith’s post, and said it was inappropriate for a town official to spout racism.

“I’m completely upset, especially for a town like this, coming from the fire chief, that’s disrespectful in my eyes,” said Cecil Township resident Dylan Pareso. “I don’t agree with it one bit.”

Smith apparently realized that he’d made a big mistake, as he quickly sent a message to CBS Pittsburgh apologizing for his racist rant.
