Trigger warning (sexual violence) and slightly NSFW, but it is absolutely worth the time."

Nice to know all are Welcome!
Next month, lest it has passed under your radar since the official announcement in December, Rupert Murdoch will be inducted into the US television academy hall of fame.
He is one of six people selected by the academy for the latest inductions on the basis that their "careers have made a significant impact on the medium."
(Reuters) - Yahoo Inc said it had detected a "coordinated effort" to gain unauthorized access to Yahoo Mail accounts using malicious computer software.
The company said on its official blog that it believed that the attackers were attempting to access the accounts using credentials that had been obtained from a breach of another company's user database. It did not identify that company.

After Cheerios received both kudos and bigoted backlash for featuring an interracial family in an ad, Swiffer is using a similar strategy. Only the brand went one further: The husband in its ad is an amputee, prompting outlets to note the commercial's even broader portrayal of a household.
The commercial shows how Swiffer impacts the real lives of the Rukavina family in Los Angeles. She's black. He's white. He explains he's better at cleaning the house, though, he says, the chore has become slightly more difficult since losing part of his arm. Enter Swiffer.
"Most Inclusive Ad Ever?" AdWeek wrote in its headline. Jezebel, too, called the spot "mega-inclusive" but hoped that such presentations "will be so commonplace that we won't even be compelled to talk about it anymore."
films that have to do with Spirituality?
I would like to be able to sit down and watch a nice film without it being all about ghosts and things that go bump in the night.
Feel free to post films about astrology and alternative healing if you know of any.

Failed U.S. Senate candidate and conservative activist Sharron Angle today filed an initiative petition proposing to amend the state constitution to prohibit state-based health exchanges under the Affordable Care Act.
In December, Angle called a press conference to announce she was filing a petition to repeal the law that has already established the state-based health exchange. She canceled that press conference and filing after learning she couldnt file such a petition until after Jan. 1.
Angle has apparently changed tactics since then. Instead of attempting to repeal the law, Angles petition would amend the state constitution. If she gathers enough signatures to qualify, the petition would be on the 2014 and 2016 ballots for a public vote.
Gov. Brian Sandoval is one of a small handful of Republican governors who have created state-based health exchanges.
I did a search and found this from 2005, so thought in honor of our "friends" at Faux News I would post again. Could that be the sound of heads popping???!!!
From 1659 to 1681, showcasing one's holiday spirit in Boston could cost you a fine of as much as five shillings. Yes that's right Christmas used to be illegal.
Christmas was so inconsequential in early America that after the Revolutionary War, Congress didn't even bother taking the day off to celebrate the holiday, deciding instead to hold its first session on Christmas Day, 1789. It took almost a century for Congress to proclaim it a federal holiday.
