It's pretty bad around here. 80 miles north or south of us got no rain, my town believes 10" fell

since midnight.

St Louis was also in that narrow band of overnight storms.

Long night of storms here. Nearly continuous lightning-

Since midnight.

My vicious pitbull has been "protecting" my wife and I from between the 2 of us on the bed. She's been at it for several hours.

Just got an alert that all roads into our town are flooded.

Yippee

So, how's your day going?

ETA - Flooding throughout the region but so far, our power is stable.

The old record in my county for rain in 1 day was 7.2 inches. beat that by 630AM - Still raining and we've had about 8 inches of rain since midnight.

We could get up to 2" more by 1000AM.

If you live in eastern Missouri or southern Illinois, stay home if you can
