California_Republic's Journal' taking the knee'. Some thoughts
- taking the knee will be the new symbolic gesture for resistance against the Trump administration and will start showing up everywhere.
- out on the boards and blogs and in coffee shop the aurguments are bitter. Good people turned against each other by our president.
- if I were a coach at the team meeting I would open the discussion with this: ' there's no good way out of this one, there is no right answer'
I wonder tomorrow, will the fans leave?
Trump added that if fans would "leave the stadium" when players kneel in protest during the national anthem, "I guarantee, things will stop."
Small business governance
All I'm looking for a good book or resource for running a small family corporation.
Something that covers corporate governance such as shareholders meeting, election of boards, election of officers, running board meetings, some Roberts rules of order, legal, minutes and more.
Something for the secretary ( officer) on the board. Not too deep, for a smaller family corporation with shareholders.
Thanks
Irony?
The more expensive and lighter the bike the heavier the lock you haul around to protect it. Is that irony?

Michigan recount is NOT dead: Jill Stein asks Michigan Supreme Court to resume it (Palmer Report)
The real story tonight: a federal judge ruled that he didnt have the authority to override the 3-1 decision by the decision by the Michigan Board of Canvassers to shut down the recount. However, this federal court move is not a ruling against Jill Stein, but rather a punt. As such, shes announced that shell now shift her court battle to the Michigan Supreme Court. This information is readily available in a statement from Stein, yet its garnered anywhere from faint brief mention in the fine print to no mention at all in the reports coming out from major news outlets.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania Recounts
DU members in those states, what is the mood concerning the recount? Good local coverage? Are people involved and helping out? Are they fighting locally to keep the recounts going?
