Some people never learn.

For some people with a diagnose of incurable cancer it's a chance for them to take a long good look at their life and ask themselves what could've I done better or how can I use the time I have to make amends to those who I've wronged.

Lee Atwater was the campaign manager when George H. Bush ran for president against Michael Dukakis. Atwater ran a very dirty and nasty campaign. He was a mentor for the likes of Roger Stone and Karl Rove, so one can just imagine how bad it was. Atwater used fear and shame against not only Dukakis, but is wife Kitty.

After Bush won the election, Atwater was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer. Knowing he had few months to live he tried to make up for what he had done to the Dukakis family by apologizing for what he did to their family.

Rush Limbaugh knew what he was doing and more then likely was enjoying his performance. He considered himself a showman. I don't think he regretted anything and that is the shame of it all. Life has way of making one pay for what we sow.

In 1864 a Massachusetts legislator and historian said

" Professed patriotism may be made the cover for a multitude of sins."

He was a member of the Whig Party. Evidently, some things never change.

I have a question about January 6th.

I have read a number of articles that stated January 6th is just ceremony where the VP opens the certified electoral votes and presents them to congress. If that is the case and nothing will change the outcome of that day, then why did this crowd of unhinged rioters think they could change the outcome?

I understand that as each state envelope was called a challenge of that states electors could be made and if that challenge came from both the house and senate they would have go to their respective chambers to debate the challenges and vote on them. I get all those things.

However, at the end the day nothing would have changed.

So than why would they think that by storming the capital would change anything? They evidently thought they were going to change the outcome. Did they know before they got there what was going to happen?

I am so sick and tired of reading about what magats think and how election was stolen.

There are no interviews or stories about how we feel the election was fair and on the up and up. It's all about them and me me me.

Payback is a bitch, Mitch.

This is what he gets for sicing the orange a-hole on us in 2016, then propping him for next 4 years. I hope you drown in your tears.

People are out spending their stimulus money.

Went to buy a new phone, larger screen, because I use my phone for everything. I have a refurbished chrome book but I don't use it. Anyway, I had my daughter take me to the phone store that my carrier is thru. I have a prepaid phone because it cheap, only costing $30.00 a month.

Got to the store, and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Now this is a store that hardly ever has any customers. In warm weather you can go by and see the clerks standing outside waiting customers. I kid you not.

Well, not today. They were packed with customers. Needless to say I did not get my phone today from that store. My daughter said she thinks people got their stimulus money and were getting new phones or whatever. I agreed, came home and bought the phone I wanted on Amazon.

Hopefully when I take my new phone to them to transfer my old phone to new phone they'll be less busy.
