Didn't Rittenhouse claim he was in Kenosha to protect a car dealership?

So why was his ass roaming around the streets? I'm pretty sure car dealerships stay in one spot. Did anyone ever ask this question during his trial?

Stupidity, more dangerous than malice

My opinion on what this whole Rittenhouse killing trial message should be

None of this would have happened if there had been a proper response to the murder of George Floyd.

For example, it should not have taken a protest and a private video to get an investigation into how Floyd died.

The police report should have told the truth about how Floyd died, right from the beginning. And, when it was found that the police had lied, serious consequences should have taken place for the police that lied.

When the system is lying and falsifying police reports, it forces people to have to protest in the streets to get justice.

The police are responsible for starting the protests last summer, period. If they hadn't lied, and had taken it upon themselves to police their own, all of this would not have taken place.

The police are also guilty of making this whole thing about race. If they had done the right thing, it wouldn't have appeared that Floyd's death had been treated differently than any other police brutality case, and chances are it would not have appeared to have been covered up because of racism.

It should be easy in this country to investigate the police, but it is not. That is a big part of the problem.

Please do not assume that I am anti-police. I am not. I am for justice and good police that uphold our laws and justice.

End of rant.

Here's a nightmare for you...

It's 2029 in America.

After many recounts, 50 audits, several threatening phone calls, and a violent attack on the certification of the Electoral College votes, the 2028 election is overturned and Josh Hawley is president. Marjorie Taylor Greene is vice president. In fact, MTG enjoys the honor of being America's first “official” female vice president, since Kamala Harris's vice presidency has been deemed invalid by the Ministry of MAGA. Currently the Ministry of MAGA is busy correcting the popular vote count, as well as the history of slavery. Any mention of the actual popular vote count has been officially labeled as “fake news” and is illegal to report.

For some a dystopian state is already a reality

I'm talking about the poll workers, teachers, school officials and medical professionals that are getting threats of violence for just doing their jobs.

How awful it must be to live in a state where threats of violence are becoming commonplace for certain people. How are these people supposed to have pursuit of happiness? They are literally living in a dystopian state right here in America.

I don't think it's over dramatic of me to think of that poem by Martin Niemoller where he says: "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out..."

This is how it starts. When we allow people to be threatened, we are allowing control of those people by terroristic means.

I am so pissed about these threats it's making me sick.

My opinion why a national response to the threats at school board meetings is best

This is my opinion and answer to those who think local authorities should be the only ones handling threats at school board meetings.

Who can guarantee the local authorities won't be on the side of those doing the threatening? Local authorities are not immune from right-wing brainwashing, and if they live in the community they serve there is a good chance they may be on the side of those who would threaten.

Just like in the days of segregation, a national response was necessary because leaving up to the locals didn't always work.

Again this is my opinion.

I've watched quite a bit of the Merrick Garland hearings, and I can honestly say...

The republicans questioning him are total asshole idiots who should know better. Who watching this doesn't come away with the idea that the GOP is just fine with harassing teachers? These morons are putting themselves on record with this shit.

The GOP likes a nice angry base, but they don't want the consequences

They like to whip their base into a frenzy over CRT, vaccines and mask mandates, but when their base takes them seriously and starts threatening people, they don't want anyone investigating those threats. They know damn well it's going to end up being their own supporters getting investigated.

It's the same with the investigation into January 6. They know there aren't going to be any democrats found to have been working with the rioters. Just about everyone going down in the January 6 investigation will be themselves and a multitude of others they have whipped up with their lies.

I'll be so glad when this is all out in the open. I'm sure they'll still have their cult followers, and I'm sure they will never admit to what they have done to this country. Also, I'm not holding my breath for any real consequences, but it will still be good to have it all out in the open for the sake of truth.

WTF

Why The F___ are republicans upset that Garland put out a memo concerned with stopping threats of violence to teachers?

I hear Trump wants a full investigation into Ashli Babbitt's death

Great, we can start by getting to the bottom of everything that happened that day, including Trump's communications. Enforce all subpoenas! We need to know everything that led up to her death.
