Vidal's JournalWatergate's Bob Woodward: Trump is too stupid to have organized a conspiracy with Russia
"On Friday, Axios reported that legendary Watergate reporter Bob Woodward is considering writing a second book on President Donald Trump and that he was driven to do so, in part, because he is disturbed by how disorganized and out of his depth the president is as leader of the free world.
Woodward even went so far as to imply that special counsel Robert Mueller was probably right not to implicate Trump criminally because he is too incompetent to have intentionally masterminded a scheme with Russia."
"Its a governing crisis. He doesnt know how to govern, Woodward told Axios. People who work with Trump say: You cant even organize your own government. How could you possibly organize a conspiracy with Russia?
He doesnt even have a to-do list, as best I can tell.

Economists throw cold water on Trump's boast about economic growth
"On Friday, the newest data from the Department of Commerce found that the U.S. economy topped 3.2 percent annualized growth in the first quarter of 2019 a rate well beyond what experts were expecting."
"President Donald Trump took a victory lap, trumpeting his skill as an economic steward to CNN reporters before an NRA event in Indianapolis. Im not allowed to comment, on GDP for 10 to 15 minutes, he said, but were knocking it out of the park.
"But several economists pointed out that the report conceals some bad news it turns out that a huge amount of that growth came from one-off events that boosted trade and inventory. Underneath the total number, growth in consumer spending and business investment was much smaller meaning that the long-term outlook is weaker."

Progressive Group Attacks Biden's Candidacy
"With the Democratic field now crystalizing as a battle between moderate and progressive wings, were seeing something we havent seen since the 2008 Democratic primary: a real battle for the soul of the Democratic Party.Almost immediately following Vice President Joe Bidens announcement of his intention to seek the 2020 Democratic nomination, a group calling itself Justice Democrats released a statement assailing Biden as being part of the old guard that failed to stop Trump:
The group, which has buoyed high-profile lawmakers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), slammed Biden as a relic of the Democratic Partys old guard who opposes policies favored by the progressive base.
The old guard of the Democratic Party failed to stop Trump, and they cant be counted on to lead the fight against his divide-and-conquer politics today. The party needs new leadership with a bold vision capable of energizing voters in the Democratic base who stayed home in 2016, the group said in a statement.
Democrats are increasingly uniting around progressive populist policies like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, free college, rejecting corporate money, and ending mass incarceration and deportation. We dont need someone who voted for the Iraq War, for mass incarceration, and for the Bankruptcy Reform Act while voting against gay marriage, reproductive rights, and school desegregation.

I don't care about anything but beating Trump.
This is no time for progressive puritanism.
Our entire democracy is at risk.
We have a president who wants to throw out the U.S. Constitution and install a fascist dictatorship.
Don't doubt it for a second.
I don't yet know who I will vote for in the Florida Democratic primary, but it will be for whoever at the time looks like they are most likely to beat Trump.
That is literally all I care about.
