Pelosi Tweet on Pre-existing Conditions - This Will Create #BlueWave2020

This is good, if you didn't see this.

This is the type of issue that Dems used for the Blue Wave in 2018, and Pelosi knows that this needs to be a top issue in 2020 to create another Blue Wave.

Since 1-1-2018 stock market (DJIA) has lost 1,335 points

On January 1, 2018 the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 26,150. Today it closed at 24,815. That's a loss of 1,335 points, or five percent.

In the first year of the Trump presidency the stock market did go up, but that was a continuation of the Obama bull market.

This means Trump will probably not be able to brag about the stock market during his reelection campaign, especially if he keeps imposing tariffs.

Are we going to see redacted portions of the Mueller Report concerning Michael Flynn?

Haven't hear anything, although I thought today was the day for this.

Has anybody heard anything?

Pelosi and Biden: Perfect Together

To me, this is one of Biden's strongest attributes: He seems to be in sync with Nancy Pelosi.

I used to work in Washington and I know what it takes to get a bill through both houses of Congress, and then signed by the president. In short, it ain't easy.

The problem I see with many "progressive" programs being proposed in the 2020 campaign is that they don't stand much of a chance of ever becoming law, even if the Dems take back Senate control.

For example, Biden and Pelosi are strong ACA/Obamacare supporters, but not so supportive of "Medicare for All."

They helped get Obamacare passed, and they seem to be of like mind when it comes to the improvements they want to make in this incredibly important healthcare law (such as adding a public option).

With a President Biden and Speaker Pelosi working hand-in-hand on healthcare legislation it is likely such bills could eventually get passed and become law (assuming the Dems take back the Senate sometime in the foreseeable future).

I'm all about: what can we get done? What is realistic? What law can we get through Congress?

I'm not so much into pie-in-the-sky proposals that may get a lot of attention, and may even get a lot of primary votes, but in the end are nothing but empty promises.

If Nancy Pelosi won't support a proposal of one of our 2020 progressive candidates, then it won't become law, practically speaking.

GOP attorneys release a video that makes a strong case for Trump's prosecution

A group of prominent Republican attorneys this week released a new video arguing that President Donald Trump would have been charged with obstruction of justice by special counsel Robert Mueller had Department of Justice guidelines allowed for the indictment of a sitting president.

The video features three prominent lawyers who have served under Republican presidents: Jeffrey Harris, who served as deputy associate Attorney General under President Ronald Reagan; Paul Rosenzweig, a deputy assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for former President George W. Bush; and Donald Ayer, who served as deputy Attorney General for George H.W. Bush.

The attorneys begin the video by arguing that Attorney General Bill Barr did not present a “fair and accurate” summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, and they say he left out important information to make the report seem far less damning than it actually was with regards to whether the president obstructed justice.

“Obstruction of justice and perjury are far more important than most normal crimes,” Rosenzweig explains to viewers. “They go to the absolute core of how the rule of law functions in this society.”

Toward the end of the video, Ayer threw down the gauntlet at GOP lawmakers who have been brushing off the Mueller report as a nonstory.

“One of the most disturbing things to me is the conduct of Republicans, in the Senate and in the House,” he said. “These are actually smart people. They know that there is a damning case, in the Mueller report, of obstruction of justice by the president, and they are acting like it’s not. And that’s just flatly dishonest. And they seem to be doing it because they think Trump is the only game in town.”

Why I'm Thinking About Boycotting Certain Political Websites

It's no secret that political websites in general are struggling financially.

When this happens, they become desperate to get viewers and "clicks" on their articles.

What I've noticed more and more is that many otherwise-credible websites are trying to sensationalize the news.

In general I don't have a problem with them trying to get readers, EXCEPT when their headlines and articles cause harm.

And it seems to me that as they desperately try to stoke controversy and create drama and report on bogus conflicts and scandals that don't exist, they are causing harm.

So I've decided that when I see this happen I'm going to boycott these websites, and refuse to click on any story on a website that is trying to sensationalize the news in a way that hurts Democrats.

The flipside of this of course is that the media continues to lavish massive amounts of attention on Cheeto Jesus, much to the detriment of the country.

"My son died from cancer also," a woman told Biden. "He couldn't get treatment."

This is an excellent article that talks about how Biden's loss of his son to cancer is affecting how he campaigns -- and how people are relating to him on the campaign trail.

It's called "Biden's personal loss emerges as a touchstone on the campaign trail"

This shows that politics really is about people.

"Voters are sharing their own experiences with cancer and grief as the former vice president campaigns for the White House."

Four years ago Thursday, Biden lost his eldest son, Beau, a rising political star in his own right, after a battle with brain cancer. It was a moment that changed the future for the then-vice president — and potentially the nation.

Investigate Trump's 'Criminal Activity' So Everyone Knows He's a Criminal

It's a matter of branding: let's call Trump a criminal and make sure all of America knows about his crimes.

After that, it's impeachment time.

MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch suggested an idea to change the conversation about impeachment, and force President Donald Trump to prove he’s not a criminal.

The “Morning Joe” contributor and former advertising executive suggested Democrats should stop talking about impeachment, which is a loaded term that carries political risks, and tell the public they’re investigating Trump’s criminal activity.

“We know Trump broke the law,” Deutsch said. “Here’s the answer, you take it from a binary choice of two lanes, you create a third lane. You take the word impeachment, and you change it to criminal activity.”

Deutsch said Democrats should tell voters that Trump clearly obstructed justice, based on special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, and was named an unindicted co-conspirator by prosecutors in the Michael Cohen case, and continue investigating those violations.

“We are going to initiate and continue the ongoing Trump criminal investigations — Trump criminal, Trump criminal investigations,” Deutsch said. “Take the word impeachment away — it’s a losing word, it’s a 30-year-old word that does not help us. Change the discussion. Even Trump says it’s a disgusting word. It’s a disgusting word for Democrats.”

Why Trump is doomed.

Read this and you'll see why.

"This obscure law gives the House the right to see everything they want in Mueller investigation"
