This is either the best or the worst political theater of our time.

This was all orchestrated, of course it was, but I still found myself buying in. This latest incident with the confrontation and physical restraint was what broke the wall of credulity. It’s all phoney.

Depending on your perspective you can either laugh or cry at this. I’m torn.

The people happiest about the "raid" are elected Republicans.

Most of them anyway. We’ve all heard the reports of how behind closed doors they despise the guy, know he’s a criminal and are dying to get rid of him but none of them have the guts to do it openly and publicly because they’re terrified of the cult.

This gives them exactly what they want. They get rid of the asshole and they get to blame the President, Democrats in general and still play to the cult by attacking the FBI and the “deep state”. Someone has to fill the void that piece of trash leaves and they’ll all be scrambling to do so. Cruz, DeSantis, Rubio, Graham and the rest of the goon squad will be expressing outrage while rubbiing their hands together in eagerness to replace the deposed “king”.

People like three toes and bobo are genuinely upset because he’s all they have. They hitched their wagons to that bastard and if he goes away, they probably do too.

But I have no doubt there was a bit of a celebration in the ranks of the Republican Party last night. Maybe even more so than on our side.

I don't think people truly understand just how serious this coup attempt was.

It wasn’t just the moron cult who was allowed into the Capitol. They let everyone and anyone in. Who knows what foreign agents were allowed in? The sensitive information stolen could have serious repercussions all over the world. From agents embedded in terror cells, to back channel negotiations and deals, to data collected on enemies and who knows what else? Lives are in jeopardy, information is in jeopardy, world peace could be in jeopardy. It’s that serious of a national security breach. And who knows what could have been left behind? Surveillance and recording devices, bombs, literally anything could have been placed in the building by people who mean us serious harm.

Тяцмр should have been removed by Congress the second they went back into session Wednesday night. That he’s still there is an absolute danger to the nation. Every minute he remains is a minute he could do any number of heinous things.

The damage already done is immeasurable and we may never recover. It was that serious. The whole four years have been.

Some among America's military allies believe Trump deliberately attempted a coup and had inside help

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-attempted-coup-federal-law-enforcement-capitol-police-2021-1

The supporters of President Donald Trump who stormed the Capitol on Wednesday to stop the ratification of President-elect Joe Biden's election victory were attempting a violent coup that multiple European security officials said appeared to have at least tacit support from aspects of the US federal agencies responsible for securing the Capitol complex.

While they did not furnish evidence that federal agency officials facilitated the chaos, Insider is reporting this information because it illustrates the scale and seriousness of Wednesday's events: America's international military and security allies are now willing to give serious credence to the idea that Trump deliberately tried to violently overturn an election and that some federal law-enforcement agents — by omission or otherwise — facilitated the attempt.

One NATO source set the stage, using terms more commonly used to describe unrest in developing countries.

"The defeated president gives a speech to a group of supporters where he tells them he was robbed of the election, denounces his own administration's members and party as traitors, and tells his supporters to storm the building where the voting is being held," the NATO intelligence official said.

I absolutely believe this was this case. We have to root these people out, charge them, convict them and make them pay the constitutional price for treason. For this was nothing less.

All those things that were "unwritten" rules should now be written.

Spell it out since the emoluments clause is apparently too vague to be enforced.

You must show your taxes, you may not run a business, you may not profit from the office, you must comply with oversight and subpoenas and so on.

All those gentleman’s agreements and honor system norms that have been taken for granted all these years must now be spelled out definitively. We can never take the chance that a person like this ever takes office again.

What else should be added to the list?

Chris Cornell three years gone today.

Today we remember the great and powerful Chris Cornell whom we lost three years ago on this date. Though he has passed on into the ethos, his majestic, soaring voice and thoughtful, deeply emotional musings live on forever in his music.

Truly, no one sings like you anymore.

We speak your name. 🤘🏽
