father accidently kills 11 year old daughter with high powered hunting rifle

An 11-year-old girl was accidentally shot dead by her father at a hunting lease in Texas, according to reports.

In additional calls, it was established the father had accidentally shot his daughter with a high-powered rifle.

When HCSO deputies and emergency medical service teams arrived, they found the young girl had suffered life-threatening gunshot injuries.

While an emergency care flight was requested, all helicopters in the region were grounded due to poor weather conditions, according to the station.

The girl was later transported by a medical crew to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

college student dies after participating in underground boxing match despite zero boxing training

According to KLAS-TV, Valencia, a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, collapsed shortly after his bout. Four days later, the outlet reported, he was dead.

His family told the outlet that Valencia suffered brain injuries that led to his death in a hospital.

Joe Castro, a friend of Valencia’s who witnessed the fight, described the atmosphere to KLAS-TV as an “underground fight club” and said Valencia decided to participate in the event even though he had zero boxing experience.

Castro said that at some point Valencia collapsed and a brawl broke out. He said that amid the chaos, Valencia received no medical help. “I saw no medical, no doctors, nothing,” Castro said.

The referee appeared to be poorly trained, and Valencia received several fatal blows as the crowd kept cheering, a boxing expert told KLAS-TV after reviewing footage of the fight.

--------------------

In a statement on Friday, Keith Whitfield, President of UNLV, put some distance between the university and the event, calling the boxing match an “off-campus event intended to raise money.”

------------

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident. The police department did not respond to a request for comment.

had Trump Not dismantled the CDC teams that where deployed internationally to monitor significate disease out-breaks abroad, alert the CDC based in the Us and address before it becomes a Pandemic, like they did with SARS and the Obama/ Biden administration, we would not be here,
TRUMP fired them and made other countries leaders communicate issues directly with the White House. trump hid the information. then invested in Hydroxy-chloroquine and tried to get the Us and Other countries to invest in it as a vaccine.

So-called flash mobs were typically organized by local people who recruited crews and sent them to steal specific merchandise requested by criminal organizations throughout the nation, Dugan said.

Those who participated in such robberies may get paid between $500 and $1,000 to take as much as they can and bring it back to organizers, who ship it to other parts of the country, according to Dugan.

"Crew bosses organize them. They'll give him the crowbars, and in some cases even rent them cars or provide them with escape routes or a list of products to actually go out and steal. It looks very chaotic, but it's actually very well organized," Dugan said.

In some cases, thieves may be copycats rather than people working with organized networks, according to David Levenberg, a mall and retail security expert.

Column: Who else has been terrorized and killed by police where Ahmaud Arbery was murdered?0

Already struggling with mental health issues as well as drug and alcohol addiction, it is believed her divorce, which had just been finalized days earlier, contributed to her poor state of mind when a Glynn County officer approached her as she sat in her running car. Someone had called police believing Small was doing drugs.

This was June 18, 2010.

When the officer asked her to step out of the vehicle, Small drove off and, for four miles, led officers on a low-speed chase. A short time later, Small’s car was pinned between a utility pole, a ditch at the side of the road and a police car. The tires on her old Buick Century were all flat. She was unarmed and trapped. A state trooper can be heard on dash cam video saying, “Let me get out there and get her out

“If she moves the car, I’m going to shoot her,” another officer responds.

Small inches forward. Shots are fired, hitting the mother of two in the head and face. The officers who fired the shots — Sgt. Robert C. Sasser and Officer Michael T. Simpson — can be heard in the police video bragging about their aim. A week later, Small dies.

yesterday's smash and grab targeted crowbars, mallets, sledgehammers from home depot

In Lakewood, a group of suspects ages 15 to 20 stormed a Home Depot store around 8:30 p.m. and grabbed tools such as crowbars, mallets and sledgehammers before getting away in vehicles that were waiting outside, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported.

One entire section of hammers was completely cleared out, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies told the station.

As many as 10 vehicles pulled up outside the store and the thieves donned ski masks before launching their spree, KCBS-TV of Los Angeles reported.

The theft prompted fears that the stolen tools would be used to commit more robberies at other stores in the area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told the station.

A Tree That Was Once the Suburban Ideal Has Morphed Into an Unstoppable Villain

A Tree That Was Once the Suburban Ideal Has Morphed Into an Unstoppable Villain
The Bradford pear, hugely popular when suburbs were developed, contributed to an invasion of trees conquering nearly anywhere it lands. South Carolina is stepping up its fight against

?quality=75&auto=webp

But when David Coyle, a professor of forest health at Clemson University, pulled over in his pickup, he could see the monster those trees had spawned: a forbidding jungle that had consumed an open lot nearby, where the same white flowers were blooming uncontrollably in a thicket of tangled branches studded with thorns.

“When this tree gets growing somewhere, it does not take long to take over the whole thing,” Professor Coyle, an invasive species expert, said. “It just wipes everything out underneath it.”

Beginning in the 1960s, as suburbs sprouted across the South, clearing land for labyrinths of cul-de-sacs and two-car garages, Bradford pears were the trees of choice. They were easily available, could thrive in almost any soil and had an appealing shape with mahogany-red leaves that lingered deep into the fall and flowers that appeared early in the spring.

-----------

But the most far-reaching consequence emerged as pear trees began colonizing open fields, farmland, river banks and ditches, and rising between the pines along the highways from Georgia up through the Carolinas, edging out native species and upending ecosystems. The trees grow rapidly, climbing to as high as 15 feet within a decade. (They can ultimately reach 50 feet high and 30 feet wide.)

“You can’t miss it,” said Tim Rogers, the general manager of a company that sells plants and supplies to landscaping companies. “It’s everywhere.”

Boston Market closes without notice, leaving customers without their prepaid Thanksgiving meals

Customers who showed up at a Boston Market in Rancho Cucamonga to pick up their preordered Thanksgiving meals got an unpleasant surprise when they arrived at the restaurant.

A shocking sign was posted on the door that read: "No employees showing up today. We are unable to fulfill the orders!!! We are sorry!!!"

Customers were in disbelief when they found out the restaurant was closed.

"I have family coming over, and it's just a shame that Boston Market did this to all the people," said Arthur Lozano, a disappointed customer.

Customer Frankia Medina said she didn't receive any type of notice beforehand and now has to figure out what to serve for dinner.
