court order against Republicans for voter law transgressions

I read here that there is such a thing, but can't find the post where it
was mentioned.

Anybody have a link? I need it for an online discussion about Indiana vote supression.

Rigged voting machines - counter point

Hi,

This may be important as counterpoint when it comes up in discussions (online or otherwise).

If voting machines can be rigged then it doesn't make sense to do it visibly. Put yourself in the place of a hacker. If you could change the software of a machine, why would you show the voter that something has gone wrong?

I am familiar with IT, touchscreen can be calibrated incorrectly, especially when there are a lot of machines to calibrate, leading to unpredictable results. There are observers in place to help with these issues, and voters should check their vote off course.

Confidence in the election process is important, don't feed the election rigging trolls.

Let the back pedalling begin

First one on the grid, Scot Adams:

If Clinton wins, you’ll wonder if this invalidates the Master Persuader Hypothesis. The short answer is no, because the concept doesn’t account for unknowns of this magnitude. If a meteor had struck Trump a day before election day, it wouldn’t say much about his skill as a persuader. The Master Persuasion Hypothesis worked splendidly until the double-whammy of the Access Hollywood tape and the “octopus” meteor.

Wikileaks proves that Hillary is a hardworking decent politician

All these e-mails to comb over and they still have to distort the contents to spin any kind of (weak) negative about Clinton. I think she is about to become the most vetted president ever.

Trump: Don't show the world who I really am

or I will show the world who I really am! You have been warned!

Trump's overexposure

Trump supporters claim that he's a masterful media manipulator. However, I think the case can be made that people are sick of him. The link is an old article from 2012, but it already mentions Donald Trump:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/tjwalker/2012/01/26/should-i-worry-about-overexposure-media-training/#54481725671b

The reality is that it’s truly hard for any one person or organization to get so much positive exposure that people just get sick of you. You can make the case this happened to Madonna in the 1982 and the Jennifer Lopez in the early 00s. And to Donald Trump for the last 25 years.

Trump is now lagging in the polls, but any many he spends on commercials may just be a waste.

Hello from Belgium

Long time lurker (12 year), did not really feel the need (nor did I think it was needed) to make an account.

Was lured in by a thread asking for outside views and here I am. I live in Belgium, and speak Dutch, French and English. If you notice weird grammar or spelling errors, please let me know, I love to improve my English knowledge and vocabulary.

I probably will not post that much, I have a very chaotic mind but I sometimes see patterns that may or may not be useful

I wish all of you the very best in this election. Take heart, don't forget to relax now and then and I'm pretty confident that Hillary will win this.

cheers!
