The WSJ apparently is reporting that “[a] early bulletin circulated widely among law enforcement officials said investigators found ammunition engraved with expressions of transgender and anti-fascist ideaology inside the rifle they was used” to kill Kirk. It’s behind a paywall, so I only see the first couple sentences. It seems like someone would need to have sophisticated engraving equipment to inscribe messages on bullet casings. I have seen engraved firearms, but bullets? And why would someone go through the hassle? Wouldn’t engraving make the ammunition more traceable? It makes no sense to me that someone who has made every effort to evade capture would used ammunition that could be forensically traced back to their source more easily?
I really would like to hear what someone with expertise in firearms has to say, and not conjecture or conspiracy theories.

This is probably one of the best versions of Golden Road I’ve heard since the 70s, and the interplay between the Harp and Pedal Steel on Morning Dew and the remainder of the set is great. With the current Governor and Delgado running, there is a decent chance that we will end up stuck with Elise Stefanik as Governor. Hochul is feckless and weak, and there is blood in the water. There will be others entering the race for the Dem nomination soon. I hope some who can win and effectively govern enters the race so there is someone I can in good conscience vote for.

This really bothers me. I thought it was an effort by the NY Post and right -wing “media” to cast Russia and Putin as victims, but it is now is being repeated by the mainstream media. The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, was a sneak attack that occurred before Japan declared war on the United States. By contrast, Russia invaded the Ukraine and the Ukraine has been fighting a defensive was for three years.

Dead & Company at the Sphere.
I just flew to Las Vegas to see Dead & Company at the Sphere this past Thursday night. WOW! I’ve seen a lot of Dead shows since I jumped on the bus in 1976, but the Sphere was a really incredible experience, and the visuals were stunning. It’s been three days, and my neck still is sore from looking up all evening. John Mayer is really good with the band. Even Drums and Space (which is usually time for a bathroom break) was incredible. Otiel Burbridge, the bassist (from the Allman Bros.) filling in for Phil, joined in on percussion with Mickey and Jay Lane (from Bobby’s band) and three percussionists made it interesting. This is worth catching if you have a chance. I need to go back again. I can’t stand Vegas, so I did an overnight trip. It was well worth it.

Is MAGA buying TeSSla stock?
It’s up almost 18 points this morning, to almost 248. Someone is buying it. And the only thing of note that has happened was the Orange Dipshit’s TeSSla endorsement and more targeting of SwastiCars and TeSSla dealerships. Some investors have to be buying at what they perceive to be a low. If it is MAGA, I hope TeSSla stock fairs as well for them as Trump’s crypto.

“Other brands”? Or other brand? I purchased a 2024 Ioniq 5 at the end of the year, I had been looking at EVs for some time, and before MUSK revealed him self to be a complete jerk and a fascist POS, I was leaning toward a SwastiCar Model Y The Ioniq is a good car. There are a few things that can be improved. I’d like to see a way to manually precondition the battery for speed charging as opposed to rely on the Nav System to do it. And I wish there were a Dog Mode like SwastiCars have so I can leave my dogs in the back when running into a store with the climate control on (there is a workaround, but is a bit unwieldy). But it’s great to drive, and isn’t a TeSSla.
