Fragment's JournalThis is why I am voting for Bernie (just as I did in the 2016 primary)
(This is from a blog that perfectly summaries my reasoning and yes I will vote for whoever wins the primary, except for Bloomberg.)
For every major policy mistake the United States has made in the last 30 years, there is video of Bernie Sanders trying to stop it.
As far as I can tell, that's true. Against the endless wars. Against the Patriot Act. Against financial deregulation. Said Citizens United was a disaster.
And he's been for all the right things just as long. He got arrested protesting segregation in 1963, and that wasn't his first protest against racism. He supported gay rights as mayor of Burlington, VT in 1983, which was ahead of the curve.
There just isn't another presidential candidate in either party who has been on the right side of every major issue for that long. Almost all the others have at least one stance from their past that looks terrible now. Biden was tight with Strom Thurmond and is partly responsible for forfeiture laws that let police rob citizens. Pete Buttigieg's time at McKinsey has forced him to deny any link with a Canadian bread price fixing scandal, and his team studied privatizing the Postal Service (if they took more than five minutes to say Hell No, that's disqualifying). Elizabeth Warren was a Republican conservative back in the 1980's (but at least she learns and grows! Good on ya!) Bloomberg was giving millions to the GOP just two years ago. Gabbard is just horrible.
Klobuchar seems okay but, I'll say it again, Bernie was getting arrested working for civil rights when she was three. Yang is cool but he's dropped out. Steyer answers the question, "What if Bloomberg but not evil?" Like the others not yet mentioned, however, he's not polling high enough to matter. He can support other candidates, as Bloomberg would do if he were not, you know, evil.
So, yeah. Bernie. He's always done the right thing. Give him power to do more of it. With anyone else, you cannot be sure they will do the right thing, and with some of them, you can be sure they won't.
According to an article in Vox, the Department of Homeland Security Tested the Iowa caucus app

Apparently, Trump's slide into dementia is escalating
https://mobile.twitter.com/tomjchicagoI dont think he will be able to participate in the upcoming election.
The truth behind politicizing the abortion debate
It is so much easier to point out other peoples troublesome behaviors than to confront their own.
All of the people who vehemently deny the rights of others to terminate unwanted pregnancies are doing so for their own self-righteous reasons, so they can feel like warriors for god it takes so little courage and requires no personal growth to focus on the behaviors of others, while neglecting to focus on their own short-comings.
These self-righteous types actually dont give a damn about children once they are born, and they especially dont care about the young women who must wrestle with this dilemma.
I just want to remind all Democrats...
... that all former Republican pundits, such as Steve Schmidt, are still speaking from a very conservative point of view, and I would place little value on their opinions. All conservatives seek to motivate from fear, rather than hope.
The 2020 general election campaign ads.
No matter who wins the democratic primary election, the election ads need to feature Trumps words and actions, no voice overs, unless done by a child wondering about her future and the choices and behavior of the adults.
There could be several different commercials, all featuring the horrible things Trump (and his Republican enablers) has done to this country; things Fox viewers are completely ignorant of.
There is so much material to choose from, there could be a new commercial every day, and it should be done chronologically.
It could begin with his pussy-grabbing comment and include everything from his speech to the Boy Scouts at their Jamboree, his making fun of a disabled citizen, his meeting with Putin in Helsinki, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
So this is my idea for the 2020 campaign ads.
No matter who wins the democratic primary election, the election ads need to feature Trumps words and actions, no voice overs, unless done by a child wondering about her future and the choices and behavior of the adults.
