Jbraybarten's JournalCorporate at my company just sent an email that there will no merit increases this year. Are layoffs imminent?
Not getting a raise sucks, especially with rising costs, but if that actually avoids layoffs, well it's a lot more manageable. I know that many have it a lot worse.
I'm also seeing terrible layoffs while on Linkedin this week. It's making this year look to be really bad.
Has anyone worked where increases were frozen, but there were not also layoffs?
If they are hoping that X percent find other jobs, not sure that will happen given limited opportunities to go to other places....
It's staggering that they released a "war room" photo that looked like a pillow fort. It's telling that he did this from
..Florida. I mean it was Florida right? It clearly wasn't the WH given the curtain "war room."
WTF kind of clown show this is. (Yes the actual military action he ordered is a much more significant topic, but I do think that it's not insignificant that he couldn't be bothered to even do this in the actual facility... by choice.
No a civil war has not "started." Let's not help deflect from the absolute corruption that is this administration
...despite the best efforts of some on the right and yeah division in this country is high, but saying that a civil war has started because Donnie funds some states for some things and not others well that is absolutely a level crossed, but he's not ideological.
He's about him. That's it. We know that. Hell, when his former press secretary turned gov of Arkansas asked for money, he said no.
And that wasn't the only time a loyal red state and gov was rejected.
We can't lose sight of the grift, corruption and transactional nature of this POS.
Calling this a "civil war" helps hide this fact.
The media needs to pre-empt Trump's wiggle room answers. Ask him "Who will you support for VP in 28, Vance or...
..will you support whoever wins the primary?"

The journalist needs to stop him right there. Say in concisely that he can't run. Read the amendment and immediately ask the original question - who will he support, Vance etc.?
They need to stay on it. Maybe he will get pissed and openly claim that he plans on a third term. Who knows, but the media has to stop letting this "cutsy" shit fly.
He maybe serious. Maybe not. He sure loves to troll and he hates the idea that he could be a lame duck (and he soon will be) so this must be forced. This is something that journalists need to better with Trump and the GOP in general on.
No more letting them answer your question with their desired narrative.
The Post is reporting that more troops are being prepared to send to cities.
