I’m a grandmother raising her 6 year old grandson who is scared for his future. I can’t change the direction this country is taking for him. I want him to grow up confident, prepared, and self sufficient. Sometimes I get so stressed over this election that it paralyzes me to inactivity, if that makes sense. But since I found DU, I’ve learned others are scared too. All I have to do is scroll the posts and I know I’m not alone in my fear and anger. So to those that gifted me hearts and to everyone else here. THANK YOU! You’ve made this grandma feel better.
Biden tests positive for COVID, will self-isolate in Delaware

U.S. President Joe Biden, under pressure from fellow Democrats to drop his re-election campaign, tested positive for COVID-19 while visiting Las Vegas on Wednesday and is self-isolating after experiencing mild symptoms, the White House said.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced the positive test for the 81-year-old Democrat after Biden cancelled a speech due to the diagnosis.
"He is vaccinated and boosted and experiencing mild symptoms, Jean-Pierre said.
