GQP senator calls for probe into Ketanji Brown Jackson attending Grammys
by Ryan Mancini - 02/06/26 4:07 PM ET

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) called for an investigation Thursday into Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson for attending the Grammy Awards, where various artists criticized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Jackson was nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording category for her memoir “Lovely One.” The Grammy award went to the Dalai Lama for “Mediations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.”

“Americans deserve a Supreme Court that is impartial and above political influence,” Blackburn wrote on social platform X. “When a Justice participates in such a highly politicized event, it raises ethical questions. We need an investigation into Justice Jackson’s ability to remain impartial.”

Blackburn also sent a letter to Chief Justice John Roberts “to conduct a thorough investigation” into the ethics of Jackson’s attendance at the award show and her “ability to remain impartial with respect to immigration matters that come before the Court.”

Anyone else besides me suffering from the debilitating disease TOES?

Trump Overkill Exhaustion Syndrome?

Y’know, when the world’s most unpunished law flauter just keeps on and on and on, and you just cope with the transgressions, as a helpless bystander with:

So?
And?
Yeah yeah yeah…
(Sigh) Really? Oh wow,,,,
Whaddaya gonna do?
That’s MAGA for you…
So you want a President Vance, eh?

And so on…
Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t given up on the Democrats doing the right thing IF they win the midterms (and if you don’t acknowledge the Big IF, you ain’t been payin’ attention). But in the meantime these are heinously ghoulish people who have skillfully figured out how to heist this country and destroy our image the world over playing the long game since the Southern Strategy slithering into turning the party from GOP to GROYP.

Meanwhile, our wonderfully BLUE party continues to get hammered by the MAGAts obviously, the so-called “Never Trumpers” singing the “Both Sides Hymns” and coaching with unsolicited advice to change the messaging and move further to the right, the MSM Sane Laundry Service, and the virtue-signaling litmus testing one-trick ponies who conveniently forget that winning elections is STILL key.

And we haven’t even finished year one.

(Another Pleasant Beltway Ripoff) DAILY KOS: {MAGA} senators hide potential kickback inside bill to end shutdown

(Well... the author used "GOP" but I'm sick of distinctions, so sue me)

Senate Republicans quietly added a provision to legislation passed to reopen the federal government that could lead to large payouts for several party members.

If the legislation becomes law, the language would allow Republican senators to sue the federal government for purportedly getting ahold of their private data without proper notification. The legislation provides for compensation of up to $500,000 in each case.

The unusual provision seeks to compensate the eight Republican senators who had their information accessed during former special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation of President Donald Trump. During that investigation, phone records for the eight senators were obtained by the FBI as Smith’s office looked into attempts by Trump to illegally overturn the 2020 election, which he lost to former President Joe Biden.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune inserted the language, according to Texas Sen. Ted (RIFF RAFF) Cruz, who claims to have been targeted in the records probe.
