Even Repubs should realize it's stupid to send productive people to benefit another country

based on crossing our border

If appealing to their humanity worked, it would have worked already. So, that's the only thing that might appeal to them.

The punishment is our punishment in cases of useful and productive people they want to deport.

I'm not arguing keeping the 'worst of the worst' although I do argue for due process for EVERYONE. It's rich when they complain about lawlessness. They can barely recognize rights of people.

New video, but is it real?

Only seen one video from one angle of Alex Pretti kicking out a taillight and spitting at ICE or border patrol vehicle.

One video from one angle is not enough to convince me.

Well our government would have access to the best Ai, would it not?

And I remember disliking the "Homeland" designation when I first heard it.

There was notable opposition and controversy regarding the use of the term "homeland" when the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established in 2002. Critics largely objected to its linguistic associations, its break from traditional American political vocabulary, and its perceived authoritarian undertones.

Linguistic and Historical Concerns: Critics and language experts noted that "homeland" felt un-American, as U.S. presidents had traditionally used terms like "the nation," "the republic," or "domestic" to describe internal affairs. The word "homeland" was frequently compared to "fatherland" (vaterland) or "motherland," terms historically associated with Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, leading some to view it as "Orwellian".

Perceived Nativism: Some observers felt the term evoked a sense of defensive nationalism or ethnic belonging that was at odds with the American concept of a diverse, immigrant-based society.

Govt shutdown, likely. What should be focused on?

Right now, I say all things that give Trump ability to make physical attacks on citizens. Namely ICE. How many other ways we can reduce his ability to abuse power, I don't know.

Are we in Russia now?

What the hell. They didn't even bother to even investigate the shooting of Good. Couldn't even do that much.

This is the way they're going to do things.

Do you think the USA is viewed as the most unstable, unreliable version of itself since its founding?

'Cause I sure think so. People saying we're strong or whatever, bah!

I must be an idiot

You don't have to agree with the above statement, (but you may if you like!)

Every Trump apologist essentially says the same thing. "This is the way he negotiates." He's threatening Greenland because he wants some deal. Just watch.

So, the Greenlander population has been softened up by his threats. When their leaders make "this deal" in the name of appeasing Trump, they're all going to be extremely HAPPY with their leadership. Oh wow, you gave Trump something to "SAVE US".

What is wrong with that picture? it's a great way to get Trump to do more of the same. The whole world is going to become like co-dependent from being abused.

I must be the idiot. I don't understand that at all. Trump's a deranged loser. That's all he is to me.

We've got to take away ICE funding.

That's one path to ending this. ICE is not doing normal law enforcement so there' no comparison to the "defund the police" movement even though some ICE supporters probably will say that.

Dangerous baboon runs his mouth. Has no actual plan so far it appears.

CNN Reporter: Speaking to an Iranian activist today, who was telling me that those huge protests that we saw last Thursday, were because a lot of people felt emboldened by President Trump's comments that they felt they had the US's protection.

He said their only hope right now to stop the carnage is President Trump, if he does nothing, he fears the situation is going to be even more catastrophic.

]Erin Burnett:
Shamana, thank you very much, and I want to go out front now to Kareem Saj Japur, expert on Iran, senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

What she reported there is pretty incredible. In this moment, that she's saying, and obviously, you know, she's saying she's talking to one person, but the importance of Trump's words, right?

That the protesters are doing this, this person said because they believe that Trump will have their backs.
I mean, is that really the fuel?

Kareem Saj Japu: Aaron, I counted today that on 7 occasions over the last 2 weeks, President Trump has threatened to take military action against Iran if it killed peaceful protesters. And that was over 2000 deaths ago, that President Trump said that.
So I do think that many took his word seriously and are hoping for, at a minimum, an American shield to help protect them against this very brutal regime.

SCOTUS: How will the Supreme Court even define a transgender person? Case starts today.

For instance, the chromosomes don't always line up for someone who is transgender or non-transgender. If they go by assigned sex at birth, well suppose someone is born where their sex was assigned differently than everyone else? What then?
