Two of the justices who voted for the 1864 abortion law are up for re-election in Arizona.

I don't know if anyone has posted this info today, but for my fellow DUers in Arizona two of the justices who voted for the law are up for re-election in 2024.

Clint Bolock and Kathryn H. King

Please remember their names on election day!

Have any of you ever traveled to Germany as part of a tour group?

I've decided to check off one more thing from my bucket list and that is to travel to Germany.

Normally I travel alone, but since I want to tour at least one concentration camp and learn some more about holocaust history I think I would feel better doing it as part of a tour group. To be honest, since I've never been there I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for tours that include holocaust history.

As a gay man I would prefer going as part of a gay tour group, but if that's not possible any tour group would do.

Thanks in advance for any information.

My personal thoughts on the santos/Romney situation.

I think santos positioned himself on the aisle because he was somehow going to disrupt President Biden's reception when he entered the house chamber, but when Romney dressed him down on his way in it threw santos off his game and he couldn't go through with his plans. Just speculating this morning, and now I'm off to work.

Does anyone here have experience with phones from Consumer Cellular?

I'm switching to them on Friday and my knowledge of which smart phone is better is minimal at best. I've been using a smartphone for about 7 years so I have some experience using them, but when it comes to which one is the best buy for the money I'm completely at a loss. I currently have an LG phone that I love, but I'm thinking of getting a Motorola or Samsung since those are compatible with the Consumer Cellular network. It's all very confusing. Any advice on which phone they carry is the best value for the money?

Why can't I see pictures when someone posts something from Twitter?

It just started happening this morning. Whenever I click on a post with a tweet in it I can see the border of the tweet, but I can't see a picture. Thanks in advance for any help.

Supreme Court won't stop grand jury from getting Trump's tax returns

The decision marks a decisive defeat in Trump's prolonged legal battle to keep his tax records out of the hands of investigators.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined Monday to block a New York grand jury from getting President Donald Trump's personal and corporate tax returns, a decisive defeat in his prolonged legal battle to keep his tax records out of the hands of investigators.

The ruling does not mean the returns will become public any time soon, and they might never be publicly released. Under state law, materials turned over to a grand jury must be kept secret. But Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance can now require Trump's accountants to turn over the records that the president has steadfastly refused to surrender to prosecutors or Congress.

“The work continues,” Vance said in response to the Supreme Court order.

Vance is seeking tax returns covering eight years for a grand jury investigation of hush money payments and other financial transactions. The investigation began after it was disclosed that former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about her claim that she had an affair with Trump, an allegation the former president has denied.

Just a random thought I had this morning about the senate trial.

A couple of weeks ago I was watching Rachel Maddow and she said (and her guest agreed) it takes 2/3 of the senators present, not 2/3 of the senate to convict. Maybe DUers with republican senators could call their offices and remind them that not being present for the vote is an option.
