Thank you for the heart!

Just a thought....

As mortals, our understanding of the world and the universe is shaped by finite experiences and thinking. Our species is not endowed with the capacity to fully comprehend the vastness of the universe or the concepts of infinity and eternity.

A thought provoking OP....

Some thoughts....
I am an agnostic, but I do believe that the historical Jesus was without question a great teacher. His emphasis on love, mercy, forgiveness, and inclusion were especially important. And when he referred to the "kingdom of heaven" or the "kingdom of God", I believe he was referring to a state of spiritual awareness and understanding that we can experience in our earthly life here and now, rather than some future place in the clouds to live after our earthly journey is over.
The healing of the divisions within our society would indeed be a wonderful thing and would logically be the ideal scenario for a cooperative and inclusive future for all. But as Dale Carnegie once wrote: "When dealing with people, let us remember that we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity."
But whatever one believes, religiously or otherwise, about who Jesus actually was, there can be little doubt that he regarded love as the essential element for any genuine spiritual transformation.

A thought provoking OP......

Some thoughts.....
First, I understand the concern over the dependence on AI in a classroom scenario, but AI as a technology is not going away.
Secondly, I personally have found AI to be a useful and efficient tool for obtaining information, evaluating ideas, and enhancing creativity in my routine day to day life for tasks such as grammar and phrasing checks on my emails and journal entries, doing quick research on an item that I read about in a news story, etc.
And finally, although I understand the desire to limit its use in the classroom, I personally believe that in a broader generic sense, it is simply a digital age tool that won't diminish our intelligence any more than calculators lessen our understanding of mathematics.

What are your thoughts?......

The last federal minimum wage increase was in 2009 to $7.25/hour. But the rate of inflation increase since 2009 is a bit over 50%. During that 16 year period we have had both Democratic and Republican administrations.
Any ideas as to why this is our current reality?
Just curious...

Agnostic here....

I was raised as a preacher's kid in a Baptist church. Became an Episcopalian as a young adult, but drifted back to the Baptist church when I got married because she was Baptist.
Once divorced, however, I began to try to sort things out because the whole religious thing just didn't seem to make sense to me.
A book that had a profound influence on me was "The Age of Reason" by Thomas Paine. Although Paine was a Deist and I liked his book, I still couldn't accept the basic Deism concept of a big guy in the sky just kicking back and watching things happen.
It was not until I read "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius that the light bulb for me finally lit up and I embraced the concept of universal oneness. In my opinion, if there is a "divine power" or "eternal essence", it has manifested itself to us mortals as what we call Nature.

JMHO, YMMV
