Repost: Cha AND Sheshe We Have Your Back "Hillary Clinton Group"

Which scumbag is going to alert on it and not have the stones to even sign their name to it?

I don't even have a dog in this fight but something rotten is happening here.

Cha, we have your back. [View all]

I am so very sorry about what happened to you today. A vicious attack on you. You were maligned ridiculed and piled on. I think I just fell through the rabbit hole and landed in CC. DU should hang their head in shame. A sleeper with 24 posts, member since 2008 rises to crap on you and gets 229 recs? WTF? This is the day DU died for me, not just by what was said, the inaction from admin, the inaction from jury and from the hosts in the BS group that ignored TOS and community standards and lifted no finger to stop this.

I love you Cha.

About Democratic Underground

Mission Statement

Democratic Underground is an online community where politically liberal people can do their part to effect political and social change by:
• Interacting with friendly, like-minded people;
• Sharing news and information, free from the corporate media filter;
• Participating in lively, thought-provoking discussions;
• Helping elect more Democrats to political office at all levels of American government; and
• Having fun!

After more than a decade online, Democratic Underground still hosts the most active liberal discussion board on the Internet. We are an independent website funded by member subscriptions and advertising, and we have no affiliation with the Democratic Party. Democratic Underground is a truly grassroots community where regular members drive the discussion and set the standards. There is no other website quite like it anywhere on the Internet.

We are always looking for friendly, liberal people who appreciate good discussions and who understand the importance of electing more Democrats to office. So sign up today!

What You Need To Know

Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our Community Standards, the Statements of Purpose for the various forums and groups, and our Terms of Service. But if you don't want to be bothered with all that, we believe most of our members will do just fine if you make an effort to be a positive contributor to the community, and use your own common sense.

Our Community Standards

It is the responsibility of all DU members to participate on our discussion forums in a manner that promotes a positive atmosphere and encourages good discussions among a diverse community of people holding a broad range of center-to-left viewpoints. Members should refrain from posting messages on DU that are disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. These broad community standards of behavior are maintained through the combined efforts of members posting and serving on citizen juries, using their own best judgment to decide what behavior is appropriate and what is not.

Members who cannot hold themselves to a high standard risk having their posts hidden by a jury of their peers, and being blocked out of discussion threads they disrupt. Those who exhibit a pattern of willful disregard for the Community Standards risk being in violation of our Terms of Service, and could have their posting privileges revoked.

Revolutionary Community Moderating System

At Democratic Underground, we believe that we can encourage good discussions by empowering all of our members to take responsibility for the discussions on the site. We want every member to feel that they have the power to help make this community the best it can be. We have developed a revolutionary new community moderating system, based on the principles of personal empowerment, transparency, and individual control, that completely changes the power structures and perverse incentives found on most other discussion forums.

Elsewhere on the Internet, there are two basic systems for moderating discussion forums: All-powerful elite moderators, or mob-rule member ratings. On both types of forums, the problems are roughly the same: a lack of accountability for the people moderating the discussions, and a lack of responsibility for the members posting. This, in turn, can give undue influence to a small number of highly motivated, highly organized partisans who may attempt to co-opt the system to try to impose their will on everyone else.

Democratic Underground does something different, based on a tried-and-true idea that has been tested over centuries: The randomly selected jury of peers. Every DU member has a chance to serve as a citizen juror to evaluate the posts of other members. Whenever an alert is sent on a disruptive post, six DU members are selected at random to serve as jurors. Jurors only evaluate one post, at which point their service ends for the day. Rather than empowering trolls, super-partisans, and busybodies, the DU community moderating system empowers the rest of us. (See Our Community Moderating System for detailed information.)

How You Can Help

There are many things that each DU member can do to help maintain our high standards:
• Participating in discussions in a positive and productive way;
•Taking advantage of our customization tools so you only see the content you want to see;
•Clicking the "Alert abuse" link on disruptive posts;
•Serving on member juries to maintain our Community Standards of civility;
•Acting as a Host of a forum or group to make sure it stays true to its Statement of Purpose; and
•Volunteering to help us identify and exclude obvious disruptors.

There are so many opportunities that we believe every member can help out in some way!

All the rules above were broken today. Every one of them and that thread was allowed to stand.

It should not be this way. This is supposed to be a Democratic board. Sadly it no longer is.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at the RNC

With Fat Tony checking out and Trump and Cruz leading I think we may see a few more panic induced heart attacks.
Good ol' Pribus is probably wetting his pants.

Democrat Ann Kuster will lose because

she's "ugly as sin". According to NH State Rep Steve Vaillancourt that is.

Steve Vaillancourt, who is in his sixth term in the New Hampshire state House, posited on his NH Insider blog that Kuster would be defeated by Republican Marilinda Garcia because the challenger is “truly attractive.” He also unfavorably compared Kuster to men who dress up as drag queens.

Just in case anybody was wondering about this obviously Adonis like State Rep, here's a snap of his Godlike visage:

And another because I know I can't get enough.

I may spam his social media for a little while in the near future just because he's such a loathsome piece of shit that I may find it kind of fun.

Startling Number of Scientific Papers Disputed Human-Caused Global Warming Last Year

How many exactly....One, one lousy paper out of 2258 peer reviewed articles.

The tally since 1991: Nearly 14,000 papers that supported human causes behind global warming (chiefly from burning fossil fuels over the past century), and just 24 that rejected human causes.

It's amazing what a well funded smear campaign by such luminary pieces of shit like the Koch brothers combined with GOP drones that will believe anything fed to them like pre-chewed pablum will do.

Most Deranged Sorority Email Ever

I needed a break from Boston so I spent some time in Gawker and came across this. I hope it hasn't been posted already.

It's sent by an executive of the Maryland chapter of Delta Gamma who's pissed at the chapter's inability to bond with their Greek Week matchup frat Sigma Nu. I've never gotten the draw of Greek life but man does this girl take it a little too seriously or what?

I saw it on Gawker first and then Alison Haislip does an incredible dramatic reading of the email on Youtube.

Language is definitely not suitable for work or those of with a sensitive disposition to such things.

on edit: OMG (said in sorority speak of course) this was post # 9,000.

Look at West, Texas on Google Maps

And try to figure out what kind of fucking idiot would allow a middle school, a high school, a playground, an old folks home, an apartment building and a couple of dozen homes within a block or two of a fucking fertilizer plant?

No matter how this plays out, this town was so lucky that the explosion happened when the schools weren't filled with kids.

Gotta love Texas, the land without all those onerous Government regulations that would keep people from building schools next to an explosive waiting to happen.

Linda McMahon has spent

pretty much $100,000,000 over two Senate elections and has lost each of them by 12 percentage points.

If this is the kind of business acumen that typical republican idiots want in charge of Congress I seriously overestimated their intelligence... And I never really credited them with having IQ's much above comfortable room temperature to begin with.

I am really really happy to see the end, I hope, of the political career of Linda fucking McMahon.

Get a 2 pound bag of sugar

put most of it in a jar, cause you don't want to waste it, and just spill a bit of it on the ground underneath the assholes gas cap, like it spilled while you were doing something nefarious.

Then crumple up the empty bag and toss it on the ground.

Watch with a bunch of cold beer as the jackass freaks out about what "happened".
